Re: CHR in Hyper-V hang/unresponsive

To solve that issue you could add netwatch job that pings the hyper-v host or something else close every second. This should do the trick. Don’t solve the problem but it’s a workaround 
Already did that. Now it recovers in 2 - 3 seconds after migration.

Most annoying issue refers to live migration in Hyper-V cluster. I wrote about it here.
And the second issue I found is incomplete auto-negotiation on ethernet ports.

Re: Hyper V - No operating System

1) Use VM gen1
2) Connect VHDX to IDE controller, NOT SCSI one.
3) Select boot from IDE.

Build 6.36.3 works almost ideally with synthetic NIC on Hyper-V 2012 R2 and 2008 R2. I'm using it about 2 months.

Re: v6.38rc [release candidate] is released

Kindis
I'm using Hyper-V checkpoints for testing RC builds.
Shutdown CHR --> create checkpoint --> turn on CHR --> update to fresh build.
If something went wrong, just apply checkpoint and delete whole checkpoint tree. Got stable version again

Re: v6.38rc [release candidate] is released

I have had this issue since 6.37 release. This affects Hyper-V running 2012 R2 och older Hyper-V versions.
6.38rc29 works fine in my environment except live migration issue and auto-negotiation failure. 6.38rc30 hangs again, as before.

Re: v6.38rc [release candidate] is released

6.38rc30 broke synthetic NIC on chr under Hyper-V... again! Hangs on /interface print, then after prints: info failed: std failure: timeout (13)

Re: CHR and Hyper-V live migration issue

Kindis, thanks for your suggestions, but I've already tried almost of them. There are about 80 VMs in cluster, with differens OSes, including Windows and Linux, and migration issue happens to CHR only :?

Re: CHR and Hyper-V live migration issue

What type of network adapter's do you use on the CHR? "Normal" or Legacy? I'm using synthetic NIC. Is the CHR connected to a Hyper-V switch? If so I thought that the switch in the machine you migrate to would see a new mac and handle all ARP parts. The CHR should not really know it's been moved. CH...

Re: CHR on KVM - auto-negotiation fails

Same thing on Hyper-V 2012 R2 with synthetic network adapter: auto negotiation incomplete, speed and duplex unknown.

CHR and Hyper-V live migration issue

After live migration the CHR router to another cluster node, I've noticed network connection to the router drops randomly. After that, if I logon to the router console directly from hypervisor host and send one ping from router to any address on problem VLAN, all becames fine again in that VLAN up t...
