I am not setting any policies. My policies are comming from the Sonic Wall when the tunnel is established. Should I maybe create a static tunnel on the 493 for this.

xr9 vs sr9 noise floor

I changed a tower site of mine from sr9 to xr9. The noise floor on the sr9 was-96 and just with the card change the noise floor went to -83. This is on the 10mhz channel. The 5 mhz channel seems to be fine at -96

Any one else seen this?

I have been trying to use the alignment only mode on a rb112 and 133 but cant get any sound out of the speaker. Is there a trick to this? The ap is in service with customers. I dont know if no one knows the answer to this queston or just did not want to answer but the answer is that it does work. It is a bit slow but it will connect and work with about 4-600k download and 120k or so up on alltel service.

Has anyone tried the new UT Starcom PC5750 with Mikrotik software and rb230? I dont see the driver in the list of drivers but I did find one post that Mikrotik support requested a supout file to add the driver.

Has this been done yet?

Thanks guys for the replys. I think my problem was the 153 was running 3.0beta10 and the unit just locked up. I downgraded to 2.9.43 and all seems to be well now.

I am not Kenny Bain but I know him. Very good fellow. Very knowledgeable on wireless.

What was done to get v3beta2 or v3beta3 to work properly on RB112's? I tried going from 2.9.24 to v3b2 and v3b3 but the cpu gets pegged at 100%. Winbox and telnet works sporatically. I downgraded to 2.9.35 and all is stable now. Is there a trick to get v3 on a 112 or 153 board?

I thought I would chime in here on the 8602 issue. I have tried 2 different routerboards. A 532 with 4 of them in it will not work at all. Constant reboots no matter what the power is set at. RB153 works fine for about 5 hours then locks up. Strange thing is when it locks up, it takes out the router...

I have a RB230 with level 3 2.8 ROS. I noticed that the upgrade until was up in Nov 2005. How do I upgrade to the latest ROS version? Will I have to buy a new license? I want the upgrade to do bonding on the ethernet side.
