Re: MAC telnet from terminal stopped working in new versions

I'm curious about this. I used to be able to connect to RouterBoard via Winbox when no ip was configured on the router. It seems this is not possible any longer. I just killed over an hour trying to figure out why I can't connect to an unconfigured port on the router. Running 6.47.1 it seems no long...

Re: MikroTik Audience slow speed WiFi, why?

I just wanted to post results when Using an R710 (Again I realize this has a list price of $1,200 US). root@kvm:~# iperf3 -c 192.168.7.182 -4 Connecting to host 192.168.7.182, port 5201 [ 4] local 192.168.7.3 port 52332 connected to 192.168.7.182 port 5201 [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth Retr Cwnd...

Re: MikroTik Audience slow speed WiFi, why?

What client device are you using for this test? Is it 2x2 or 3x3? I'm using MacBook Pro with 3x3. As I said I don't want to be unfair to compare it to a Ruckus R710, but I'm simply using claims by MikroTik specs. I also created this chart a while back when first disappointed by RB4011 WiFi performa...

Re: MikroTik Audience slow speed WiFi, why?

I really want to like MikroTik WiFi, but I'm regularly disappointed. I realize I can't compare a $200 MikroTik to a $600 Ruckus, but why does Mikrotik Advertise unrealistic specifications. The Audience 5Ghz QCA9984 Radio is rated at 1733Mbs (I don't think half of that can be attained in a vacuum). T...

Re: RB2011 slow internet even with fasttrack

Thanks to everyone (@sebastia & @CZfan) that helped me on my journey. The most important things I learned: Don't trust software reset (command line nor WebFig) they leave traces of user config even when not checked FastTrack does work. Make sure firewall rules make sense and always test after implem...

Re: RB2011 slow internet even with fasttrack

I followed this post and ended up with the following config, which still yielded 750-800Mbs NAT download. # feb/10/2019 13:06:30 by RouterOS 6.43.11 # software id = KQLT-H381 # # model = 2011UiAS-2HnD # serial number = 762C0718xxxx /interface bridge add admin-mac=64:D1:54:2C:xx:xx auto-mac=no commen...

Re: RB2011 slow internet even with fasttrack

Well, it seems I'm progressing and can't blame hardware or software just yet. I have been able to achieve ~800Mbs with the following config: # feb/10/2019 10:54:43 by RouterOS 6.43.11 # software id = KQLT-H381 # # model = 2011UiAS-2HnD # serial number = 762C0718xxxx /interface bridge add admin-mac=6...

Re: RB2011 slow internet even with fasttrack

Well hopefully I'll be able to call myself an idiot when all said and done! You helped me see a potential issue. Ignorance on my part, or a failed reset has left some configs, that I didn't expect to see. Here is the config that I last use (which I expected to be bone stock default, out of the box e...

Re: RB2011 slow internet even with fasttrack

As a Tik admin you have a lot of features / possibilities in your hands, but also responsibility, as the choices made have significant impact. Few examples: * vlans & bridging: latest software introduces bridge level vlans, but it's has only limited switch chip support. one ends up quickly with ful...

Re: RB2011 slow internet even with fasttrack

I wish MikroTik would help here. There is a serious issue with the later software or firmware or both. It's frustrating to see their synthetic test results, while we can only realize a very small fraction in real world scenario. With gigabit connections becoming more affordable, I'm now seeing Mikro...

rfc 3927, gratitious arp, bogus ipv4 version, Src: 00:00:00_00:00:00

Greetings, I realize this may not be the right forum area and my issue is likely not directly related to Router OS. I'm trying to connect a Nexia Z Wave bridge device . The device won't connect to Nexia servers with just a simple masquerade rule as only firewall rule set. Nexia support is not helpfu...

Re: wAP ac 2.4ghz channel issues

I can't believe there is no help or additional information here on this issue. Can anyone post an export of a functioning 2.4Ghz config on the wAP AC? I finally received my RMA from supplier. I don't want to get two new units if they have the same inherent problem. @HeyDude, did you ever resolve you...

Re: wAP ac 2.4ghz channel issues

You are not the only one with this issue, but from the time difference between your post and mine, I would say that noone seems to care. WAP ac does not work properly on 2.4 GHz on channels 5, 6, 7, and 8. Does this mean we should have success on channels 1-4? I can confirm many hours spent here tr...

Re: Compatibility with 4G LTE Global USB Modem U620L

I'm also very much interested in this Verizon USB modem MiFi U620L. I was not able to get it to work on my RB951Ui-2HnD. The modem would be recognized in system resources > usb, it would get a private 192.168.1.2 address, then shortly after it would get a public ip, then it would eventually disappea...

Have you seen https://mum.mikrotik.com//presentations/US15/brian.pdf?

I'm just starting to investigate this myself. I'd like to find a USB dongle that will work with Verizon and RouterOS.

Files - displays all files and folders recursively=bad

Greetings, I currently have a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN with 128 Gig USB drive serving as a file share for music files. When navigating to the files menu via WebFig, all files and folders are displayed recursively. This amounts to thousands of files. This number of files to display, causes bugs in other me...
