NAT overload public subnet to internal network

Hi, I upgrade my WAN from a single public IP address to a /29 public pool. Now I want to NAT my internal private network to the public pool at random (round-robin) and making sure the private IP address mapping follows the same public IP address while the internal IP is active which should prevents ...

Re: Politic sharing I condemn the promotion of a mikrotic instructor !!!

The only idea that I'd need facebook to share my professional ideas or take anything from there seriously makes me yawn... at least use LinkedIn. Not everybody uses facebook or considers to use it, perhaps I am not part of those 8 billion people? On a side note, maybe a mod can move this thread to a...

Re: hEX POE and IP camera

In theory you could create that but you'd need some electronics as data and power need to be mixed, are there B to A converters? I don't know of any, you'd better do with an good A injector as I believe reliability is important for a door camera.

Re: MicroSd Cards

No. So reboot to recognise I then ejected and formatted. after the format process finished I had to reboot and then it turned up as disk0 and under /file. I have moved my logging to disk0/ under file and I have done a few reboots. I haven't as yet tested what happens if i reboot with the card not i...

Re: MicroSd Cards

Actually I have a question, once the SD card has been inserted and partitioned do you have any problem using the card such as the CCR not recognizing it after (cold)reboot or anything?, I want to move my user-manager database to the card but I don't want to be surprised by any unexpected access prob...

Re: Simple Queue vs Queue tree in ROS v6

Yeah, I have been testing on a pool of users and I can see a difference, bandwidth is distributed more even, it can be noticed with a lot of users (simple queues), I have been trying to make it work with user-manager but I face a problem where user-manager doesn't send the 'address list' attribute t...

Simple Queue vs Queue tree in ROS v6

As I understand simple queues got a huge optimization on v6, I wonder if I can still improve performance moving from sq to pcq+queue trees on v6 or if it is not worth the try and the performance in both is similar if I have say 100 users and a RB750 and I just want to limit bandwidth without the nee...

Re: v6.38rc [release candidate] is released

About metarouter on MIPSBE: When booting a child ROS or OpenWRT, the host networking process CPU usage goes high; for example, if I do a bandwidth test to the host router (let's say 10Mb both ways) with all child VMs off CPU usage is around 0-2% (normal behaviour) whereas if I do the same bandwidth ...

Re: [ROS 6.37.3] MetaRouter: Unable to create virtual routers, OpenWRT slows down host network connectivity

Is it the same problem as in my question http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=115422 ? Looks like that, the same problem might be also affecting my OpenWRT image; it boots but CPU goes nuts and network connectivity start to lag destabilising the system. The thing is that it is a productio...

Re: Winbox SFP ticked says RX Lose , what does it mean

It means it is not receiving signal (light) from the other end.

Two reasons: one, you simply didn't connect any fiber between such CRS and another device or two, the SFP module uses two strands, one for TX and the other for RX... the RX one is faulty.

[ROS 6.37.3] MetaRouter: Unable to create virtual routers, OpenWRT slows down host network connectivity

I am unable to boot virtual router instances, they time out after creating SSH keys step, CPU usage on the 'networking' process goes high on host machine until I disable the virtual router; OpenWRT boots but the same high CPU happens even when OpenWRT is idle with 0% vCPU usage and slows down networ...
