Re: New created L2TP/IPSec VPN set up after Apple iOS/iPadOS 14 do not work

In the hopes that it helps somebody in the future, I found that the fix to this problem in ROS6 was to disable 'SHA1' and enable 'SHA256' for the default IPSEC profile.

The default profile can be found from the top level menu, by navigating to: IP -> IPSec -> Proposal (tab) -> default

Re: Interface Data Quota

Disregard, I've modified Armando script to reset daily at 1am by changing line 33 from:
:local day ([:pick [/system clock get date] 4 6]);
to:
:local day ([:pick [/system clock get time] 0 2]);
Hope this helps!

Re: Interface Data Quota

After trying one of the final version of this script, I made some modification to avoid couple of things from the original idea: resetting the router to reset the interface's counters and writing to file to keep variable values. When using ethernet interface in order to reset the traffic counter yo...

Re: Deny Access for Hot-Spot User During Certain Times

To follow up on my first post, I've setup a virtual AP and attached it to a bridge running the Hot-Spot server. I've also setup two scheduler processes, one to disable the Virtual AP at 22:00 and the other to re-enable it at 06:00. I can though foresee one issue with this setup whereby if the router...

Re: Deny Access for Hot-Spot User During Certain Times

I suggest you point to Radius server and implement policies from their
User Manager is Mikrotik's implementation of RADIUS.

Deny Access for Hot-Spot User During Certain Times

Hello Everybody, I've setup a Hot-Spot with User Manager to authenticate my users. I'd also like to setup a profile on user manager to only allow access to the Hot-Spot from 6:00 to 22:00, 7 Days per week. Currently, I've configured my user manager -> profile -> as follows: Always 6:00:00-22:00:00 T...

Faill-Over Delay Script for Satellite Links

Hello Everybody, I have two satellite WAN connections: Primary - A 'fast' Ka band service but very susceptible to rain and Secondary a 'slow' C-Band service, which is much less susceptible to rain fade. I've setup a simple distance route (0 & 1) with the 'check-gateway' option, to fail-over from...

Re: ARM devices and NV2 protocol

Hello Everybody, To confirm, is this issue also a problem with wireless 'ARM' based Mikrotik devices operating in Station' mode too? EG: Do you still have the same issues with Mikrotik MIPSBE devices operating in 'AP Bridge' (Access Point) mode and the ARM devices operating in 'Station' (Client) mod...

Re: nstreme protocol security

Hello, Nstream uses standard WPA2 security under '/interface wireless security-profiles'. Perhaps you're confusing Nstream with NV2? As NV2 uses it's own proprietary security and ignores the settings under '/interface wireless security-profiles'. NV2 Security Mikrotik Wiki info here: https://wiki.mi...

Hello All,

Has this issue been fixed? As there seems to be conflicting reports.

Thanks!

Re: New : RB760IGS - HEX-S

Hi,

Just a quick note to let everybody know that the minimum factory firmware for this router is: 6.41.3 CURRENT. This means that you cannot currently flash 6.40.8 BUGFIX.

Hope this helps somebody else out.

Re: Wireless clients keep getting disconnected/reconnected

In case anybody runs across this thread again..

This can be caused by two or more access points operating with the same frequency, SSID and security profile.

The solution is to change each of the AP's to a different frequency.
