Re: Searching for the Best VPN for Kodi to stream unofficial addons safely

I have been using ExpressVPN for a long time. It's superb for streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, HBO and Kodi as well. There is no doubt, ExpressVPN works excellent with Kodi. If you're still puzzled then visit VPN Reviews, where you can explore numerous top VPN providers with th...

Re: Internet Safety with my router

Yup, get a vpn. But ask around here which one works best with mikrotik devices. Or if you can setup one manually. You can check deals for commercial vpns too, if you want to get one for cheap. But I doubt you'll get any discount around this time of year. :p Otherwise https://www.bestvpn.co/ is a goo...

Router issue with kodi device

Using mikrotik router, RB750GL and the problem is not understandable to me. Posted about it on kodi forum but no luck yet.

Posting it on behalf of my friend. He has done all the tunneling and the net is being used by other devices like mobile phone etc, but something wrong with kodi.

Help?

Re: Streaming Issues

Can you provide more information about the issue you're facing? Also, like you have quoted, It looks more like a kodi problem if everything else is running and only kodi's having difficulty. Try searching your issue here https://forum.kodivpn.co/, if it's kodi's problem, you'll be able to find a swi...

Re: NFS browsing issue

Avahi is only needed if you want NFS to be "announced" or at least "discoverable." If you simply mount the share in Kodi and use NFS natively it should behave normally over the network. That said, Avahi can be used with a custom TLD (not .local) and DNS-SD, DNS Service Discovery, is not necessary r...

For my ubuntu 17 it works, no idea about 16.04

Well then it should work on 16.04. I'll try it
Do share if it works for you.

Yup it worked. :D
Worked for me too, using Ubuntu 16.04.3. I installed the required Mysql version (5.6).

Nice. Great!

I'm not sure where CHR enters the picture here. Wouldn't you just use a wireless device of sufficient performance and put it in bridge mode? Why have a CHR when you want to do only bridging? (I could understand it when you have a limited-function wireless device and need more sophisticated routing)...

I meant to ask about the router which have internet bandwidth distribution allocation capability that can break the bandwidth for different devices. I am forgetting the name, which I used to use. I heard Mikrotik also does this task.

As they said initially, 100 gigabit capacity. Well this is good news then! So can I get it on my home net...

I have also recently shifted to Mikrotik gear, and I think after seeing your post, that shifting to Mikrotik is what you need. I have a very similar setup.

However, I'd hope some senior member of this problem can recommend you with better settings.
