What about the first question?
No it doesn't has any fix related to this. Is CHR not supposed to work with Vultr for BGP?Check if "stable" 7.8 fix the problem.
I want to join it. How do I join? I have an amprnet allocation. We are running ...
+1Any Chance of Adding Advertisements in BGP Option. Really Useful to Check what is getting Advertised to peers.
Currently in ROSv7 its very difficult to find our the Advertisements compared to ROSv6.
Please Mikrotik Team Look in to it....
A simple config example would be really helpful. You can try two OSPF instances and redistribute routes from one instance to another.
Yes a working guide for an MDNS repeater containertun/tap support will be added in next release. Anything else to consider adding before stable release?
If you disable mangles then you can't do PCC loadbalancing. It defeats my purpose.Solved:
1. removed Mangle Rules - only testing
2. set up fasttrack connection in fw rules !
No they have asked me to upgrade to a more powerful device. So I bought an RB5009. Also rb3011 started to perform worse than HAP AC^2 for the exact same config.RB3011 still suffers from a massive performance penalty with v7 compared to v6 (other devices are fine).
Will that ever get fixed?
Set your chr vm cpu setting to hostWhat are conditions to use this feature? I have AES passed to CHR and no HW flag in OVPN server clients. Is there any documentation to this?*) ovpn - fixed hardware offloading support on CHR;
Thank you
It could be today or this week itself. What's new in 7.3beta40 (2022-May-11 12:18):
it''s been 2 weeks after last release, waiting for the next release.
You want me to disrupt the connection to show you proof?I don't believe you.
Proof?
maybe 7.3 rc wil get it to!Hopefully 7.3
Any ETA?We added a much easier way to install containers, similar to docker pull. It will be worth the wait
You will suggest everything else to prove that mikrotik doesn't need to implement mDNS. Such a simp!Use Alexa devices...
From my Office I can control devices at my Home (different cities and networks) with vocal commands...
Yup but why?Any RB5009 owners updated?
How do you think where the fixes for 7.2.1 were tested? :)
Thanks a ton. However please refer to SUP-78389. @normis @emilis @edpa*) torch - properly capture all related IPv6 traffic;
CPU not running at default frequency.which one of all that is an issue?
YesPPPoE Client?
Are you using MD5 password? try to have a clear session as many QoS used by ISPs corrupt the MD5 password.it would seem that the no-llgr option is located in the community-set filters as to it's proper use I have not a clue.
like so many things in v7 documentation on its correct use is lacking.
Already downgraded but that doesn't justify them not answering the ticket. If this pisses you off so much, why don't you downgrade your very important router to 6.49 and wait for v7 to stabilise enough to meet your operational demands?I am really pissed with Mikrotik, ...
Thanksthey are just tables, you can use IPv4 and IPv6 routes with them. For adding IPv6 routes to a table other than main, you currently have to use the cli, winbox still doesn't show the routing-table parameter.
Then why is ip route cache option present in ip>setting? The other one is the impact of the absence of routing cache in v7, which has been mentioned multiple times here and there, but does not explain the difference in this topic.
Yes!!! it is lot less like with 140mbps it is 20-30% max.Are you saying that if you disable the load distribution rules completely, the CPU load becomes lower by an order of magnitude?
This script fails to add networks learnt from ospf to the address list specifiedYou should describe your issue first...
EoIP doesn't work with SNAT behind IPACCT based NAS systems used my many ISPs. That is the main issue. It was never acknowledged by MikroTik as a feature worth implementing.
You will have to use EoIP instead.
Thanks for the tip it worked.I had the same problem. What seems to have fixed it for me was disabling all BGP address-lists and re-enabling them. After upgrade my bgp broke. Now my routes are not being announced to peers.
Please add an example to run mDNS using container. An example of how to use container package to run PiHole in RouterOS can be found here
After upgrade got build time September 8 10:29:39 is it the latest one?yes, this is a fresh build, upgrade pleaseI just got 7.1 rc3 test images a couple of hours ago. Are they different from this?
What about you posting a quick guide on mDNS? Would be quiet helpful.mDNS proxy...
asterisk PBX...
Yes still the same. No ping reply.Sorry to ask, but you did try pingv6 for either side of the zt-tunnel?
From support. Same issue exists on rc2 also.Where you get the 7.1rc3?
Actually is like do not exist...
Kindly update https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ ... col+StatusRouterOS version 7.1rc1 has been released in public "development" channel!
Because they have asked to test filters specifically. Thanks to MikroTik for honest summary.
Looks like few users enjoy 7.1b7, any reason why it is not official?
yesDo you have beta7?beta 7 offers far more stability.
Ever home user needs mDNS. Don't know why mikrotik keeps ignoring this.even the edgerouter has a mdns repeater..
I am on latest stable release. Doesn't matter which version I am in.I can use one 3011 for test, but you never write routeros and routerboot version installed on routerboard,
on (my) 6.47.10 do not do any problem
As v7.1 b6 is of alpha quality I cannot put it in my home network. Anyways using 16 bit private ASIt is a limitation of BGP. Extended communities and large communities support 32bit ASNs. Large communities is a new feature which is added only in ROS v7
Latest Beta v7.1 b6. Latest firmware. Full reset post upgradation.Would really like to see some relevant information:
- RouterOS version
- Firmware version
- Configuration (/export hide-sensitive file=nynameyoulike)
Route filters aren't working. See detailed post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=175428 Also check ticket# SUP-50226Route filters are workingHello can anyone from mikrotik confirm if route filters and ospfv3 is working or not?
So I create an ipv6 address list and put the name of the address list there or explicitly mention the networks? To advertise prefixes from specified address list. Replaces "/routing bgp network" configuration of ROS v6
same here buddy, would request mikrotik to update the v7 routing protocol status page in help.mikrotik.com ASAPHello everyone, where are the promised BGP filters?
This is the only thing that stops me from moving to v7.
2022 end I guess. Since 2019 it's been in beta. When can we expect Stable Release of ROS v7?????
Just received reply from support that filters are being reworked and do not work as of now. Will never test betas again unless they don't mention what's know to be not working.Yes exactly the reason why I stopped testing it yesterday.
Mikrotik should act fast and release a 6.48.1 in stable channel. This is unacceptable to have such a buggy stable release.Likely, yes. Read the above messages. So downgrade to long-term version. Is there a bug on 6.48 for these devices?
When can we expect the next release of v7.1?See here how to use routing filters:
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ ... ingFilters
Unicast VxLAN tunnels would be of great use.Which features are missing in your opinion?
I had this issue with HAP AC^2 but on opening support ticket they provided me with rosv7.1 beta 3 and that resolved this dhcp issue.I am rebooting my chateau let12 at least twice a day, because of known dhcp issues. i guess i need to schedule a reboot every 6h or so.
Beta 3? How did you get it?It seems wi-fi issue has been fixed in 7.1beta3. Running it for a week without any issues.
PS: not yet available for everyone.
yes me too especially with filters. Also it's been 2 months since last beta release.anyone tried configuring BGP in ROS7.1beta2 I would love to see some examples :)
