OpenVPN hardware

What would be the best MikroTik router hardware for OpenVPN performance?

Re: Get a "/ip address print" output by mail

If You save print output to file, it should look the same as print command output. Just won't look good only if you print file content to terminal.
You'll burn the flash.

MikroTik PWR Line EU - Outdoors [request]

Dear MikroTik, Could you, pretty please make an outdoor version of https://mikrotik.com/product/pwr_line_ap? There are vertical outdoors weather/dust protected 220V EU shuko plugs with a lid. Whenever the lid is closed, the plug is safe. Whenever there is a cord attached, the plug is again safe. I d...

That is actually excellent manufacturing! Not every company can achieve such precise timing.
Seems to me like this issue is noticeable when all four seasons of the year have passed.
You're right, great engineering, precise warranty calculation.

Hopefully, by using such zero day, somebody hacks, enters into MikroTik HQ, steals, borrows, forks, acquires by using magnets, liberates the source code and makes GNU/RouterOS, so no such zero day happens ever again. :D

Check the power supply, check the board electrolytic capacitors.
It is also possible that the board had been hit with an electrical surge via the ethernet ports and some components are burned - for example via the dead port, or something...

Re: Are routerboard products having silent hardware revisions?

Actually MikroTik boards are so good, they have to put one or two electrolytic capacitors over night, to make them a bit crappy so they don't just obliterate the competitors.
It's out of pity.

According to the specification, they both have the same tx power and rx sensitivity.

Re: Feature request - static content web server [SOLVED]

RouterOS, as name implies, is a router - it should not serve webpages. The only possibility is hotspot captive portal (and I think it should stay that way). Making webserver is hard (and I say that as an author of one), incorporating existing one is not in MT style and will mean they need to track ...

Request: RouterOS as independant DNS resolver

Currently the RouterOS DNS server works only as DNS forwarder. It relies on other DNS server to do the recursion.
I would like for RouterOS to have a DNS resolver option, so it would do DNS recursion on it's own, independently - if needed.

I would like to know the answer of this question too. Furthermore, i would like to know the limits for static A entries and regex DNS entries. Like I said, we have not made products with these capacitors since many years, if you have such device, it is covered by warranty.
Liquid electrolyte capacitors are "the cancer that is killing".
I feel pity whenever i see a nice board butchered for a few cents more gain.
