Re: Problems with DHCP from Mikrotik Device with WiFi WheatherStation

I say "assign a static lease (convert dynamic by simply clicking on the button)" etc. not increase dhcp lease time on dhcp-server settings... ;) Thanks, I misunderstood. I never tried static lease times. I now have set in the configuration for this device a fixes lease time of 365 days, t...

Re: Problems with DHCP from Mikrotik Device with WiFi WheatherStation

Hi again, static IP is not enough. I already worked with static IP via MikroTik (weather device doesn't support native static IP). Then I switched to dynamic IP and it happened also. OK, then I will have to increase the renewal period. That's not perfect but will work I think. Thanks again for all h...

Is the same fix I haved used on the past for fix playstation network problems for some users... And now is a default config for all my CPEs... Hi, I have bad news. The problem occured again after 12 hours and 5 minutes after I set the Options. Thats when the "renewal time" is reached. DHC...

Re: Problems with DHCP from Mikrotik Device with WiFi WheatherStation

Are you sure this is the problem? After a full backup, paste this on terminal: /ip dhcp-server set [find] lease-time=1d /ip dhcp-server option add code=58 name=Renewal-Time value=0x0000A8C0 add code=59 name=Rebinding-Time value=0x00012750 /ip dhcp-server network set [find] dhcp-option=Renewal-Time,...

Problems with DHCP from Mikrotik Device with WiFi WheatherStation

Hi there, I am searching for days now how to solve my Problem. Without success, Maybe someone has an idea :-) Central Router is a CRS125 with RouterOS 6.49.6 and there are several cAPs connected with CapsMan (all v 6.49.6). I used to have a Windows Server 2016 in the last years as Domain Controller,...

CAPSMAN Questions (dual band usage,provisioning)

Hi I have two questions regarding CAPSMAN (Router OS 6.46). First question: I have configured CAPSMAN with provisioning. When I connect a new AP, it configures my wifi networks automatically. This works great and easy. BUT: I cant change any setting of the CAPs added this way. When I open the CAP Se...

Re: CRS112-8P-4S-IN

Does this mean, if I power the Mikrotik Router with 48V, for example CRS112-8P-4S-IN, I can select in Router OS with Mode I need on a specific Port? For example, I have one passive PoE AccesPoint working with 24v (Low Voltage) on one Ethernet port, an on the other point I can power a device with 802...

Re: CAPSMAn handshake failure

Well, you can read it again :-) I made it as usual. I didn't know that there are different ways to use the capsman ... well the basic configuration is always the same. Activating CAPSMAN on both master and client with the needed options. And both would normally find each other ... The thing is, this...

Re: CAPSMAn handshake failure

Hi, thanks for answering. Actually, I found a solution. But I didn't understand it. Normally it was possible to connect a CAP and then to configure them with configuration sets. But it didn't worked. Then I made a configuration set ready and tried again. Now the CAP could connect to CAPSMAN Master w...

Re: Extensive Data Loss

It's not always a signal strenght problem. Check the signal noise ration SNR. We had similar problems with a good signal but link quality was very bad.
We hat intererences by an other device, which was too close to the antenna.
Check SNR and/or noise level on the device.

You can view a graphical spectrum with the dude server and the dude client software. It works with all wireless devices, except AC devices.
For this case I am running a dude server as virtual machine in HyperV.

Recover login password

Hi is it possible to recover a user login password (for the router) from a non encrypted backup file or by a second user who has full access to the router? I can find the username in the backup file in clear text, but passwords are stored encrypted. Is it known which format it is? Thanks in advance ...

Re: Advisory: Vulnerability exploiting the Winbox port

Anyone had problems with his SXT2lite after upgrade to RouterOS/Firmware to 6.42.1? I'm using a SXT2lite as client for HAM RADIO usage (HAMNET). Firmware/RouterOS before upgrade was 6.41.3. AccessPoint is a Ubiquity Nanostation M2 with 5 MHz bandwith. I can see the AP pretty well (in SCAN or SNOOPER...

Is there a 5V DC output on RB433 AH?

Hi there
is there anywhere a 5V DC output on the PCB of a RB433 AH?
I would want use it to power a RapsberryPi2 (400-500 mA 5V DC needed).
RB433AH would be powered through 24v DC PoE.

Anyone ideas?

USB / +5V DC Usage at RB433AH

Hi everybody... I have some RB433AH boards which don't have USB connectors. There is an USB Version called "RB433UAH". The PCB seems to be identical, but there are no USB connectors on the RB433AH board. But the solder contacts are there. So I have two questions: 1. Is it possible to "...

Hi, mUPS sounds interesting. Is it possible to power possibly a PowerBox at which probably 4 wireless systems are connected wit PoE? So is it possible to power 5 routerboards at the same time with one mUPS? Or is the current output limited anyway? 2A current (at 24V) should be ok for this constellat...

Re: MikroTik News December 2016 (Issue #74)

Hi there, we're very waiting for a new version of the powerbox with Gigabit Ports and maybe 3 or 5 additional ethernet ports. It's very confusing that you offer high data rate wireless devices with GBit connector (Basebox, QRT for example), but most of the routers have only fast ethernet ports (100m...
