hAP ac2: hardware offload decreases performance, vlan

Setup: server2 - ISP - ether1-wan - hAP ac2 - ether2-vlan10 - server1 With hardware offload turned off on all interfaces iperf3 speed between server1 and server2 is around 800-900 Mbps in both directions. If I turn hardware offload on, iperf3 speed server1 -> server2 drops to 280 Mbps. Server2 -> se...

Re: Xiaomi phone low Wifi TX rate [SOLVED]

Hello,
we will work on this problem but first we need to finetune the new wireless driver for the new hardware and then we would try to implement the fix for the old wireless hardware.
Best regards,

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

yhfung,
The main difference between wAP and hAP ac2 is CPU [arcitecture]: while wAP is based on QCA9533 (well known MIPS), hAP ac2 is based on IPQ-4018 (ARM - new to Miktorik).

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

yhfung,
Thank you. I'm facing the same: bad speed LAN -> WLAN5 (download) and good speed WLAN5 -> LAN (upload).

Keep in mind that iperf3 client is sending by default. If you run iperf3 in client mode on your laptop you have to specify -R option in order to measure download speed (server send).

Re: hAP ac^2 Problems---Extremely Poor Performance found in 2.4G and 5G WiFi

So, it is a LAN-WAN routing issue. Can I confirm with all on here who have posted data across the WAN interface:
Nope, pls check viewtopic.php?f=2&t=132576

Re: hAP ac² LAN->WiFi 5GHz performance issue.

Intel 7260 slow - ha-ha! It works perfectly with hAP ac (I got stable 200..220 Mbps with it) and many other routers. As well as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 works perfectly with hAP ac (on 5GHz). The test results you asked for are below, as expected nothing changed. Also, please check this link https://forum...

Re: Xiaomi phone low Wifi TX rate [SOLVED]

This issue is related to the chipset incompatibility between what we use in our devices, and the chip in these phones. There isn't much we can do. Newer devices, such as hAPac^2 and cAPac do not have this issue anymore. Okay, I followed your recommendation and got another issue https://forum.mikrot...

hAP ac² LAN->WiFi 5GHz performance issue.

I've bought hAP ac^2, configured it and got an issue: transferring speed from LAN device (micro server with 1 Gbps eth) to Wi-Fi 5GHz device is VERY low and unstable: 0.5..2..5..20..50 Mbps, tested with two 5GHz devices with iperf3. At the same time transferring speed from LAN device to Wi-Fi 2.4GHz...

Re: hAP ac & Xiaomi Redmi note 3 Pro 5GHz issue

It's really annoying!
When I'm trying to watch some video from the LAN with average bit-rate 6 Mbps, Wi-Fi connection stacked around 4 Mbps - impossible to watch continuously paused and interrupted video.
Please, help.

hAP ac & Xiaomi Redmi note 3 Pro 5GHz issue

Hello! I'm experiencing some speed issue with my RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT and Xiaomi Redmi note 3 Pro (Qualcomm) on 5GHz band. Channel speed is fine and stable, however real transferring speed vary from ~200 Mbps to ~4 Mbps. I've tested it between 2 devices connected to the router via LAN (GbE) and phone...
