Re: ROS Management link to dude polling?

Solved-I changed the winbox port on the edge router. Not sure why this would have killed the service to devices on local subnet?

ROS Management link to dude polling?

When I upgraded ( I think 6.44) ALL devices went from Green to Orange due to Routeros management timeout. This used to happen when Password was not correct. Does ROS management use the same ports as winbox? 10 days ago I did something to stop ALL Dude 6.44 ROS Management Responses. ROSManargment is ...

Re: CAPsMAN and group-key-update

My Bad - I had a Rouge DHCP/Server Power Box on the same Broadcast Domain/IOT Bridge I found the variable in the caps-man export and it sets as expected now in 6.44. It would be great if anyone with experience would enlighten us on hints of what devices expect with the group key update setting best ...

Re: Ring hardware and Mikrotik [SOLVED]

I'm using CAPSMAN and set Group-key-update to 01:00:00 and have had no luck with 2 doorbells. aes and WAP WPA2 on with now a shorter 8 character password. No issues connecting with any other device. Anyone else have experience? The device says has a problem connecting to the Internet. Seems like its...

Does anyone know of a Recent Post for VPN IPsec PSK config??- W10 Clients to ROS 6.43.11+ Fixed IP+4011? I gave up with many gray hairs and I even hired a Mikrotik consultant without success so far. This Essential Functionally is so easy on other devices. Id like to use the Standard windows client. ...

Using a Dual Band Radio for a Local POP.

It's clear this is not ideal, but Can one take a dual band WAP or hAP and link 5 gHz NV2 and re-transmit on 2 gHz. 40 Mhz channel on 5, 20 on 2Ghz.
The range on 2Ghz so low due to congestion. 5Ghz band is open. want to also NAT, band limit and firewall on the radio,

Disable FastTrack

Disable FastTrack fixed all, in both IP settings and Firewall rules. Fixed all issues with 6.43.11 so far.
I'm confused on possible changes affecting IPSec if any?

Re: v6.43.11 [stable] is released!

Forced to drop back to 6.43.8 on RB4011. Not stable and drop in routing performance with some CAPS and VPN issues. May have been script specific. Not sure how to downgrade once you update the Routerboard FW. Lucky I had a new spare 4011 in box, EDIT: Disabling FastTrack fixed all... Thanks !! I'm no...

Hmmmm
Error is "input does not match any value of datapath.bridge"
Bridge name was exact same on both devices.
I took out all datapath values and it imported successfully

Migrating Caps-man Configuration to New hardware/4011

Trying to move Capsman settings to a different device with mixed success. Looks like only some of the config is sticking on import. Possible mac addresses conflict. /caps-man export then import the best way to do this? If you have dynamic interfaces should you edit out/ remove the /caps-man interfac...

? QUAD 9 DNS Service ( USA) ?

Any experience or advice with QUAD 9 DNS ? Subnet is IBM's.

POP map at pch.net/about/pops - similar to Norton , perhaps lower fat and oversite.

US3 Bands with Capsman

Where might one find frequencies for newer radios locked on US3 bands?
Are separate caps-man configurations required with existing and new US3 locked radios
even with the same bands?

Caps-man - Dual Radio CAP configurations

Or can the Country just not be set since the radio won't select off bands anyway? I'm using custom configuration and p...

Traffic Flow over bridge ports

Have a 2011 we want to bond a SFP port to an Ethernet port with out the router interfering. If you set both ports to Master=none, create a custom bridge, and don't have any IP's on these 2 interfaces will the router do nothing to or with this traffic? Basically, I just want to electrically isolate a...

Have a 3011 with a single Public WAN address via a /30 provided by Fiber provider Southern Light. Using a group of 5 port router as a SWITCH , with an admin IP is assigned on the Bridge via DHCP, should "add default route be active in DHCP client" be set to ON ? Re: The Dude, v6.39rc test builds.

Running 6.38.1 on a 20 ROS device Network. Since the Dude is Evolving, Is it Recommend to Run Dude 39.x.rc ( Latest ) on just the ROS+Dude-Hex Server
or will the older versions of ROS on Network cause issues? Best to use an entry in " IP Firewall Address List" for Discovery Blacklist ?

My Networks are evolving, Is there a way to move devices between maps? I've created a MAP call Legacy,
which I would like to park devices that are not active or expired. Maybe there is a better way, like a Hide flag??

Isolation of Subnets on Same Router

Best Recommended practice to isolate subnets on the same router and provide an address list to be routed?
Make custom route firewalls or just make custom routes in the route table. I would want to block entire subnet except a few hosts.

000 Macs for entire Subnet in IP ARP

I setup a unique /24 Subnet for UniFi cams+NVR's with 20 fixed IP's. I think the NVR scans for cams on the entire
subnet and the result is 254 address with 00:00:00 Macs in the IP ARC Table.
Is there a way to clear these w/o Reboot? Is there a way to stop the Null entries? ROS 6.38
