Hi mrz, i found out that it's BFD .. which is configurable but then i found some documents which shows that BFD is not yet implemented in v7?? Are you serious Mikrotik?? rmichael, macgaiver is right:
24mil 64byte pps = =24mil*8*(64+ 14 (Ethernet header) + 4 (Ethernet trailer))/1000/1000 = 15,744Gbps
this is full speed full duplex - the limit is the port speed basically.

Try the following: Set rates to "configued" and check MCS only till 12 and do not use MCS 13, 14 and/or 15 .. this _will_ reduce bandwidth to 180Mbit/s air-rate .. but just test if this will fix the problems.

Re: Third blown R52H card

I dont think that this will really fix it.. we are already using a dc-grounded omni and have a extra Quarterwave Surge Protection installed ... so it's secured twice but the diversity switch just lost function ... One interesting thing: All times the cards were blown, the whole ROS did a reboot (we ...

Third blown R52H card

Hello, we have now the third card that has a saturated receiver amplifier. First we had a non-dc-grounded antenna and no surge protection. After the second failed R52H card, we replaced the antenna by a dc-grounded one and installed a quarterwave surge protection. Now, after two weeks the RX signal ...

Re: Unable to disable pptp-server on ROS 3.22

Hi normis,

this is not a real option since the box is serving 35 clients with internet. Also this box is 100km away.

No other way to find out why its crashing?

Unable to disable pptp-server on ROS 3.22

Hello,

i tested some things with a pptp-server and now i'm not able to disable it anymore.

When i remove the "enabled" flag via winbox and click OK, the ROS crashes and reboots.

I also tried it via CLI but after "set enable=no" the box also crashes.

Any ideas?

Hello, we have a pppoe server with external radius authentication. I just found out that the "only one" setting in the pppoe profile does not work. There is a user that logs in from different places (wireless) with the same username. What is that setting for then? I need to get this workin...

Re: Mikrotik Router and deleting Connections automatically

Hi,

we have exactly the same problem on several ROS boxes (2.9.51 and 3.14/3.16) ... i temporarly solved it with setting "UDP Timeout" to 3 seconds so it does delete it really fast.

But i would see that only as a dirty workaround and Mikrotik has to fix this issue.

Best regards,

Joerg

Re: Second burned amplifier on CM9 card ... any ideas?

My colleague checked the antenna now and it is NOT dc grounded!

We will now try to use a Compex wlan card instead of the cm9 because we have a AP at another location which has exactly the same omni antenna (but with a Compex card) and it's working since 1/2 year without any problems.

Second burned amplifier on CM9 card ... any ideas?

Hi there, we have a 4-port miniPCI / PCI Adapter with four CM9 cards. Three of them running on 5GHz with sector-antennas. One is connected to a 2,4Ghz Omni. The one connected to the omni had a amplifier failure after 15 hours. We replaced it and the new card's amplifier failed also after about 15 ho...

PPPoE-Client Set Defaultroute in other Table(s)

Hi there,

i'm missing the possibility to add a defaultroute within PPPoE-Client to another Table instead of Main one.

Would it be possible to add this (really handy) feature to RouterOS?

Thanks

Timeout for ping in check-gateway too short

Hi, i'm using the check-gateway function to check if my DSL line is up or not. But: If the line is full (i only got ADSL) the latency to the checked gateway is surely high. Now the RouterOS declares the Route as invalid since it wasn't able to get a reply. Maybe it would be a good idea to make the t...

I doubt that you'll find a way to prevent users from changing their mac to access your service.

The only thing you can do is to use Encryption on the link and not give our the pre-shared Key(s).

I would choose the bigger line and do a bandwidth limitation per user. Load balancing is not always per-packet so maybe you can only have 512kbit/s on a single connection (TCP) when it's a load-balancing per source/destination. But maybe you get better redundancy with three single lines but you can ...

We have a AP Bridge (Accesspoint).

We want to connect a station and simply bridge the ethernet to the wlan.

Or bridge two wlan interfaces.

"AP bridge" -> "Station" (WLAN1 -> WLAN2) -> Customer

So we can increase the range.

But it seems that this is not possible ... :(
