IMHO only problem with CPU load is ONLY when it is constantly 100% for longer time. All other time (even ar 98% load) it is sufficient to do every task for the system

Two default gateways on diferent boxes and ospf not working?

Hi!

2.9.37, routing-test

Why is that not posible to have two or more default gateways on ospf network (on diferent routers - not on the same box)? Why they are not propagated/calculated throught ospf network like normal routes - closest chosen? Is that mikrotik bug or this is ospf limitation?

Because there can be devices that have zero services, but And what state will they have? For sure this will be not "down" but "unknown"... that doesn't mean that they are not reachable. Also some or all services being down doesn't mean that that routeros special service is down as well. I am not ta...

Yeah, that will solve the problem (until someone have hungreds of down devices), but what about just not to try to connect to devices wich are considered "down"... ?

Yeah, that sounds good in theory 30/1*10 = 300, even defaults should give 30..., but problem occur at something more than 10 items down. What i discovered is that pooling times have nothing to do with the problem. Just add to the map non existing items of exectly that type: lookup: none type: mikrot...

BUG: down items are filling up 10 tcp syn limit on xp prof

Hi! Dude 2.0 When items go down, dude is sending tcp syn packets to them and dont close these connections or just repeating them over and over or just wait too long. I can see these connections on netstat (syn sent) filling up to 10 wich is xp prof limit and stays at that limit. This is causing bad ...

no, didn't you read what christian said? RIP and OSPF is present in v3 Level4. I bought bunch of levels 5 because that is wroted on mikrotik pages: level 4: RIP, OSPF, BGP protocols yes (V3 = no) And now you said ospf will be included in level4..., that good to hear for those who have level4, but I...

You mean, they are just willing me to pay twice as more (for level 5) as i am doing, and then after all they will just say that routing will be included in 3.x for level 4, and all my levels 5 will be just worth as much as level4?

Nothing will surprise me here...

How to put /24 throught ospf instead of /32 adresses

Is there a simple way to do that? Lets say you have pppoe server with users 10.0.0.2-10.0.0.100. How do I put only 10.0.0.0/24 to ospf, not many 10.0.0.x/32 ? Static routes outside this router are not the way i like... Filters in routing-test "work", but routing-test seems still broken in 2.9.35. An...

There is example in the manual (just read it all).
packet mark -> queue tree with pcq rate 0
or just simple queue with pcq rate 0

Its work, but the problem is that if full bandiwth is used, ping is jumping to around 100ms for all users. So its useless, and its better to avoid it.

Dynamic bandwith with mikrotik - broken ?

I always thinked that there is something wrong with dynamic bandwith sharing with simple queues/ queue tree and pcq with rate 0. http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.9/root/queue Equal bandwidth sharing among users. So I finaly made this simple example and - ok, its works... if boths users are downloa...

2.9.27 ospf routing-test works quiet fine. Anythink after that is broken more or less (dont know about last two distros, as they have some other bugs). That a 4 months of broken software, and no way to download 2.9.27 if someone does not have it - LOL.
