WiFi powOS Wireless Chip Tx Power Tx Power (dBm) Total Tx Power (dBm) Antenna Gain Cer reduced after upgrade to RouterOS

We operate a network with ~150 customers connected directly to fibre using Mikrotik HAP AC routers each with 1Gbps SFP modules. Although there were some initial challenges with WiFi performance these were mostly stable / resolved until we started to upgrade the firmware on some of the routers,. or r...

can't wait to get rid of the Netgear, Cisco switches :D We have a stack of Netgear switches - each with 24 SFP ports. 4 switches so 96 ports but this continues to grow Netgear provide a stacking kit so you can manage the stack as a single device but the same is possible using any of the ports on th...

Re: Large Apartment, no Ethernet

We've used a number of options to improve coverage in large buildings. 1. Power line - it's OK as a starting point but performance is variable and can get expensive quickly if you go for faster speeds and multiple nodes 2. Mesh WiFi - works well. Several vendors available - TP-Link DECO M5 set of 3 ...

Re: Mikrotik WLAN & CAPsMAN - Bad download perfomance

@Bivvy: when datapath is configured to use capsman's bridge, this usually becomes a srrious bottleneck. If you don't have a good reason not to, set datapath to local-firwarding=yes ... and the rest of appropriate settings. Thanks @mkx I'll turn on local-forwarding. Any other tweaks I should consider?

Re: Mikrotik WLAN & CAPsMAN - Bad download perfomance

Ok, so I was wrong and it was unfair to say "MIMO doesn't work", etc, etc... MIMO works! I've made couple of IRL tests (not iperf) - so far, even 3x3:3 makes sense. And note that AC68 is not in the best position - bandwith rate is around 877-1300mbps, jumping around due to close distance - adapter ...

We are experiencing the same problem. We operate a network with ~150 customers directly on full fibre connections. For the client CPE we are using Mikrotik HAP AC. Speed tests with a computer directly connected to the HAP AC give results between 250 and 350Mbps download and >400Mbps upload depending...

I guess I will monitor more closely and get some WireShark captures. What I find most odd about this is the fact that I never saw this at all until a month or two ago. Now, I see it multiple times a day and it's all with communication between my Mikrotik AP and Mikrotik CPE. Hi Arcee Did you ever s...

Agree - the need to manually UnAck is a significant problem. Either need
- Ack to be cleared automatically when service comes back up again or
- A way to tell which devices are still Ack'd.

OK - sorted now. Just need to take more time reading the manual. The full URL needs to be converted to hex so http://10.10.25.6:7457 becomes 68 74 74 70 3a 2f 2f 31 30 2e 31 30 2e 32 35 2e 36 3a 37 35 34 37 That's 22 bytes and for Option 43 it's Code 1, so I needed to add the hex for "1" (01) and "2...

To get the router to talk to our CWMP server, I can manually enter the URL details on the Genexis unit http://10.10.25.6:7547 But to do this automatically, whatever I set up in the Mikrotik DHCP server, the Genexis does not s...
