It recognized it just fine. Just had to use the channels UBNT said to use.
I could try other antenna's but don't know who makes them. When I did my testing it was in my lab using paper clips. That's what we use for all our tests.
That is true. However, monitoring the connections now through the connection tab on the firewall page doesn't even show any P2P connection (which is kinda strange). Our main router is using 3.20 on a X86. Put aside P2P traffic, I'd just like to be able to see who is downloading/uploading the most. T...
That's an idea I hadn't thought about. I haven't messed with netflow at all. Are you importing the data into a mysql database? We are using dhcp. It might cause a few problems, but I could set their IP's to not expire as often. Even still, when they do expire, they usually pick up the same one anywa...
That sucks. I just hope were never approached to produce information on what somebody has downloaded. We don't have any software in place that provides that information. Doing a network trace might work, if we happen to be doing one when when that particular customer is downloading something. I'm no...
We have a backup Verizon DSL line that we sometimes put some of our heavier users on. We occasionally receive notices from Verizon that we have downloaded copyrighted material (tv shows, movies etc). Does anybody know what software they could be using to track this? Our system is natted (not that it...
We currently have around 250 customers. We don't use any Hotspots, PPPOE or any other type of authentication other than WPA for our 2.4 customers. We want to track customer usage, but don't want to create PPPOE sessions or authenticate to a RADIUS server. Can we create a RADIUS server that automatic...
The antenna's are M2 14dBi Yagi's (Horiz Polarity). The noise floor was about 100. No other 700 stuff anywhere near my equipment. Can't remember what channels we tried, but I know we tried several.
Very poor results. Quarter mile away and signal was -87. Connected but browsing was very slow. Removed antenna from tower and will test elsewhere. Worked great in my test office, but once deployed I couldn't get much signal. Antenna was about 85 foot up. Same SR9 can hit about 4-5 miles pretty good.
Box #1 only had two XR5's and is using a 24V POE. Box #2 has two XR9's and one SR5 and is using a 24V POE. Box #1 - Removed both XR5's and replaced with two SR5's. Connection is stable again and not dropping. Added a SR9 to the card to see if it would stay connected and/or shutdown. It's been runnin...
Anybody seen any issues with using XR (5 & 9) cards in RB 333's. I have one site that had two XR5's and one of the cards kept connecting disconnnecting. The problem showed up after switching from a 133 (same XR5) to a new RB333 (ROS 3.3). I installed two SR5's in the 333 and it is now stable. An...
We haven't tried rolling back. I'm not saying the CPE-90's are the best radio's, but they were working fine. I think the problem started around version 2.9.42. I travel frequently and don't want to attemp a rollback remotely. It appears to be something unique to Tranzeo's. Every other radio that has...
Hi All, Trying to figure out an issue I'm having with our customers using Tranzeo CPE-90's. All of our AP's are either RB532 or RB112's using SR2 or XR2 cards. Clients using CPE-90's have erratic download speeds. Upload speeds are fine. Not all CPE-90's exhibit this problem, yet all are running the ...
There isn't any change option under the action menu. There is a TCP MSS option under the Advanced setting and I've tried changing it to 1400, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Were having problems connecting to freecreditreport.com (Experian). You can connect to the website, but if you try to login or create an account, it times out then fails. We've removed all filters. We are doing NAT on our PPPOE connection. And have tried everything short of reconfiguring our router ...
I'm getting the MIC Failures on several of my clients. Interference isn't an issue on one of them and their signal is -50, ccq is around 99. Client is conecting to a RB112/CM9 using a laptop. Two other customers are using Tranzeo CPE 90's. They connect fine....then out of the blue I see those MIC fa...
I owe you one big ass beer. Of all the things I tried....that wasn't one of them. Works perfect. Here is the completed very basic script. But will allow me to update the nat IP when the pppoe ip changes. then all I have to do is check the address from no-ip.com and can rdp into the system. :global p...
I do have a comment set to "RDP". I've also tried to 'find' the comment, then update the dst-address, but haven't been able to get that to work. I've spent the last couple of weeks trying to get this to work. It seems so simple, yet not. If anyone can pass along a code snippet, that would ...
All I need my script to do is the following: /ip firewall nat 3 set dst-address x.x.x.x The 3 is the nat rule I need to change. I've tried everything I can think of. Have looked in the scripting forum, have read and reread the manual. And cannot get it to work. The above command works fine from the ...
Still haven't got it working. However, I guess I don't really need it. I could just create the script to get the current setting from the ip route entry and update the NAT entry. Set it run several times a day and be done with it. Still can't get the email function to work though. Complains about th...
I need to get a particular value and I may not know what it is, so I can't do a find. I specifically need to get the dst-address of a particular NAT entry. In this case it's '3'. 3 being the item # or comment line of the NAT entry. I need to get it, because I am going to have to do a comparison betw...
I've been playing with scripting. I need to be able to capture the new PPPOE address assigned, so I can email myself the new IP as well as update the NAT Firewall settings, so I can RDP to the system. The following command works fine from a terminal window, but fails when putting it in a script. :lo...
RB532/SR9 - Pac Wireless 120 deg Horiz Ant - 190' on tower. Customer site: 20' off ground. RB112/SR9, pac wireless 15 Dbi Grid - 7 miles out, pretty heavy trees - Signal -70, noise -98. Can do a Torch and get pretty consistant 11MB. Another customer, Very heavy trees, rolling hills, 5.5 miles out, A...
I've got two W3k boxes running remote desktop on the same network. I can access the first one just fine. I try to add the 2nd one and can't connect to it. I know I can't have the 2nd entry the same as the first, since RDP is using the same port on both machines. So I tried to redirect port 3390 from...
dhcp server is here in my office (test environment). I can get an ip address from it no problem, just not off both wlan interfaces. ie. I configure two bridges. 1 for eth1/wlan1, another for eth2/wlan2. I then take my laptop and connect to wlan1...and get an IP address and all is good. Then I change...
Yes, their both on different channels (1/11). If you have them running what is your config? I'm pulling what hair I have left trying to figure it out. I have to be overlooking something. Can you have a bridge that includes both wlan interfaces and a single ethernet? or do you have to have a separate...
If I do just one bridge i.e eth1/wlan1 (no wds) it works fine and is stable. I tried adding the wlan2 to the existing bridge, but the rb didn't seem to like that (it rebooted twice)...so I don't know if you can bridge multiple wlan interfaces and an eth interface to a single bridge. I've read in the...
Got a problem hopefully someone can help me resolve. I'm new to the whole MT scene. Were currently a Proxim/Orinoco shop. I've got a RB 532 with 2 SR2 cards installed. Took me quite sometime to get a client connection. I searched the forums and docs and finally came accross where you have to create ...
