Re: v6.39.2 [current]

Updated RB-3011, RB750, and RB2011 from 6.38.5 to 6.39.2 without incident.

Re: RE: Re: RB3011suddenly loses USB flash drive

I first saw this after a reboot also... Trying to think of possible debug options. Mine is at a tower on the hill, so I can't physically test replug. I am glad you tried that. It seems the unit doesn't properly mount the drive some times, but there is no manual command to do that. I had tested it o...

Re: RB3011suddenly loses USB flash drive

Are there any relevant log settings or data dumps that would tell us what is happening here? I got a new USB3 stick to try, but I really need to know that there is a solution that can run stable long term for dude on external storage for my RB3011...

Yes! most recent MUM presentation announced what is basically a HEX POE in a powerbox. Now if they could actually ship either one this year...

Re: Dude discovering devices on subnet and broadcast IPs

Changing back to normal ping discovery fixed this problem. Why does the detailed service based discovery detect devices on the broadcast and subnet IP addresses? Shouldn't it be smart enough to know that could be any device talking?

Re: v6.39rc [release candidate] is released

I had this problem going from v6.38.4 to 6.38.5 on the RB3011 also. Unfortunantly the router is one of my main routers, and I didn't have a spare so I couldn't debug. In that scenario it is not wise to run RC software... I hope at least you make backups and/or exports and store them on another comp...

Re: v6.39rc [release candidate] is released

A RB3011 with a regular configruation when upgraded from v6.38.5 to v6.39.55 or v6.39.58 device becomes unusable: reboots again and again until it is recovered with reset and netinstall. I had this problem going from v6.38.4 to 6.38.5 on the RB3011 also. Unfortunantly the router is one of my main r...

Re: RB3011suddenly loses USB flash drive

I have this problem also, but with a 16gb usb 2.0 drive. I have a backup of the whole disk1 directory, so I can just reformat, load the files back on, and reimport the database. That saves over an hour of driving for me, but it doesn't seem to last more then a few hours to days. Are you sure it is t...

Re: 2011 & 3011 Series with POE PORT

The HEX POE will be close for smaller jobs, but I would live to see a powerbox variant of the hex poe, with the HEX dual core cpu along with a powerbox variant of the RB-3011. Rack mount and regular cases for the same boards would also be reasonable. Ubiquiti really has the better hardware solution ...

Re: v6.39rc [release candidate] is released

Does the black list function in the discover info window of the dude client for windows work right in this build? In 6.38.3, and previous versions I don't see the . or ... buttons shown in the manual here. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:The_Dude/Device_discovery There is a related bug where du...

Re: [The Dude] How to avoid notification if probe is not-available

What we need is the ability to script notification processing so that all probe status change events within a specific interval are combined in to a single notification. Basically, we need to be able to accumulate notifications over a period of time and send a single notification with the cumulative...

New powerbox any time soon?

Is there going to be a new powerbox any time soon? Does mikrotik care about users like me that run POE equipment almost exclusively? They have the HEXr3 with an awesome new CPU and DUDE Server support. There is also the HEX POE with 5 port POE and 1 SFP, but no upgraded dual core CPU and a lack of d...

Re: [The Dude] How to avoid notification if probe is not-available

I agree that it would be nice to prevent multiple timeout notifications. From a programming standpoint though, I don't think choosing just one master probe would do the trick. When you power cycle a device all services go down. Depending on where in the cycle each probe is in, a different probe coul...

Dude discovering devices on subnet and broadcast IPs

Hi, I just upgraded to 6.38.1 on a RB-3011. I have set up dude, but am having problems with dude discovery detecting devices on the subnet and broadcast IP addresses. For example, if I have a subnet of 10.1.2.0/29, dude will detect the actual devices, but a rescan will add a device at 10.1.2.0 and 1...
