Re: ":put" problem in scripting [SOLVED]

:put outputs in current session, but since the script is run in separate thread with it's own environment, the output won't be visible. If you were to call on it from a shell you have open, it will output: "/system script run script1" Another option: use :log Thank you sebastia! I'll give that a try.

Re: ":put" problem in scripting [SOLVED]

This is normal behavior. If you want the script to print output while it runs, use the :log command which will output to the system log.
Thank you mducharme! Now I know the answer.

":put" problem in scripting [SOLVED]

Unable to use :put to display contents of global var from within script. Terminal cli works fine and can see that global var is changed from script, just no output on console when initiated from script. Using 6.43.7 and latest Winbox. Have searched forum and google for answer without success. Sugges...

Re: New wave of Winbox vuln. attacks

Just wanted to let everyone know removing "new" did fix the problem!
I found the winbox drop rule had a count increment today without any warning in log.
Thanks to everyone!!

Re: New wave of Winbox vuln. attacks

Thanks sid5632!
I seem to recall there is a way to view the default configuration, but have failed to locate how to do it.
Could you point me in the right direction?

Re: New wave of Winbox vuln. attacks

Thanks sid5632 and tomaskir!

Have removed "new" as noted.

Should untracked also be removed as it appears not to be part of defconf as well?

Re: New wave of Winbox vuln. attacks

I've received in log "warning denied winbox/dude connect from x.x.x.x". I have a firewall rule I thought would drop it, but I don't see the packet count change and I'm still getting warning message. Should I be concerned? https://cl.ly/47d6a3354f0e/winbox_log_entry.png https://drh2acu5z204m.cloudfro...

Re: Slow ethernet directly from rb750Gr3 port 2 [SOLVED]

I would suggest removing those blacklist downloads, they pose a huge security risk. If someone is able to MITM your connection or the web host is compromised, your router is compromised since it's essentially executing arbitrary commands from a remote host (!). Thanks R1CH, I will do that right awa...

Re: Slow ethernet directly from rb750Gr3 port 2 [SOLVED]

I suppose something bigger and more expensive will do, but I don't have enough experience with those devices, to give specific recommendation. I'm just a little surprised about RB750Gr3, based on official test results, I expected more. Just 700Mbit with fasttrack doesn't look like much. But I guess...

Re: Slow ethernet directly from rb750Gr3 port 2 [SOLVED]

There are some hw limits, you won't get 1Gbit between all interfaces, see block diagrams on product page . But in this case it shouldn't be it. Next, low cpu usage across all cores means nothing if there would be something limited by single thread. I don't know details about inner workings of Route...

Slow ethernet directly from rb750Gr3 port

Having very slow ethernet speeds from rb750gr3.

Have attempted to post this topic twice without it ever getting made public.

Can't find way to contact moderator to find out what problem is.

Any help appreciated.

Slow ethernet directly from rb750Gr3 port 2 [SOLVED]

I upgraded my internet speed to 1Gbit from 300Mbit and didn't see any change using speedtest.net. It still was running around 300Mbit. To isolate the problem, I connected rb ethernet port 2 directly to a single pc and ran speedtest with same result 300Mbit performance. Then I disconnected rb etherne...
