I see that RB1100AHx2 have two microSD card slots? See motherboard.

I have one up and running. Probably the most versatile Routerboard I have at the moment. Works GREAT... And just demonstrating it has already influenced others to order one. I really like the built in USB port as I have been doing some really nice failover scenarios with a Sprint 598U CDMA 3G stick....

Does anyone know of a inexpensive multi-port POE injector, say 6 ports?
With all the new devices coming out these days, I have a pile of "wall warts" and wanted to clean it up a bit.
The multi-port POE injectors that I have seen are typically 48 VDC and won't do for most of the MikroTik line.

I run mine in "Transparent" mode.

If so, you should have something similar to this in your iptables:

I believe the RB750GL has much larger MTU capability that the RB750G.
Even though the clock speed might be less, I'll bet the transfer speed efficiency will make up for it. Just a guess though.

IPSEC over GRE (ROS 5.4) using OSPF

Has anyone got IPSEC to work over a GRE tunnel using ROS 5.4? I'm also using OSPF and the MTU's are around 1400 to make the DSL link happy.

1. It works perfectly using IPSec/EoIP Tunnels and OSPF.
2. Seems to work ok without IPSec and OSPF.

IPSec/GRE is not a requirement, just an experiment.

And as a double check, I can also successfully connect using the web interface from router "A" to router "C".

I'm having this happen too. My 433AH is one of the first group that came out. I don't seem to have the same problem with other 433ah's that I use that are newer. Not sure that this is relevant, but I thought I would throw that out there.

The firewall is still acting goofy on the drop chain. This was preset on RC1 as well....

problem is with the 'content' matcher. Avoid using it and rest of the firewall will work fine. We will fix it in the next version.

The problem still exists with RC3.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't experienced this with other routerboards as it works just fine on the RB411AR and 433AH. It seems that I only needed to set the "enter-setup-on=delete key", the silent boot seems to be not necessary.

I have an OSPF link that seems to be working fine except one problem. It seems to continually go up and down every three or four minutes, see attached image. Anyone have a clue what could be causing this? Using a RB800 with ROS 5Beta1

RB800 Second Serial Port (IDC10)

A ribbon IDC-to-DB9M fits perfectly on the RB800 Motherboard. It's described in the user manual. How is it activated? I would like to use it for a GPS input so I can maintain the external serial port for console related issues.

I want to weigh in on the GPS not working using X86 ROS. It is working correctly, when I move the GPS receiver output to a RB433AH so the GPS itself is working. I have installed the GPS pkg in the X86 box, and it seems to configure correctly. I am using ROS 4.2 in both devices.

Can't seem to make this one work. I'll keep at it, but I wish MikroTik would show were a script is failing due to a syntax or something else like that so it would be easier to debug. This especially goes for us who only use scripting only every so often.

Some people use "Dawine", but I've found it occasionally to be unpredictable. I'm now using "CrossOver for Mac", which is more refined and supported. Works great.

we have seen issues with Macs that are using braodcom chipset - they can't connect using 5ghz N mode, but they work in 2.4ghz.
We will try to find a fix for it.

What would also be really great is the remove the default height from the individual windows to allow them to be more compacted. This again, would allow Winbox to be more usable on smaller laptop screens.

As long as we are talking about menus and such, how about putting a single button in winbox just for scripts so I don't have to constantly go menu-to sub-menu to find it. Or being able to create buttons for macros? Any ideas?

I'm trying to use a RB433AH with the new R52N card. While I can get it to work in "N" mode at 2.4 Ghz, when I change the frequency band to 5 Ghz (N or A/N), all I get are timeouts. I'm using the RB433AH in AP-Bridge mode. Any ideas? I can get it to work with regular 5 Ghz mode (non-N).

hmmm... even after reboot of router?.. afair, my WinBox lost all open windows... It is a little tricky . Don't reboot router with winbox . open a New Terminal and write system reboot then your open windows will be saved :) Well you're right, that does work, but the point is it shouldn't have to be ...

How about a version of Winbox that remembers all the window arrangements that you have made even after a reboot!
Also a separate configure menu for each window allowing for easier selects of visible columns.

A big Ditto on this issue !! Also, making it easier to select the "show columns" items so I don't have to keep dropping the pull down each time. How about setting it so I can do multiple selections with one pull down of the menu. As well, auto-sizing of the columns

You are correct so far !! The DHCP-Server is now functional !!
I will try to get the VPN back up and running now that I know what it was the cause of the DHCP Server not running.

Just tried it, still no joy. The cable modem will work with a standard Linksys router so I know its working. If I plug into the Linksys router with the RouterOS box, I do get an address. I didn't think DHCP was that picky.
