i have 2 Agere pci cards. i tried to install them on an MT box, but it does not recognize them.
maybe 802.1x could be a solution, but i dont know if it would work on LAN (ethernet) too. plus a RADIUS is needed.Basically what I want to do is to authenticate any user on the inside of my network by MAC address only.

you cant use bridge together with station mode, which is needed for the uplink. have a look at the EoIP tunnel:

thread though - would you be interested to know further results once we get the encryptor machines back again?
no.I'm just wondering if others are seeing issues with the DHCP Server on the Mikrotik OS and certain brands of devices obtaining IP addresses?
Also usually chacking logs helps much.
From what I understand in the manual it should do. I will try what you suggest tho ;)
