I belive you aks too much of the cheapest and smallest of current mikrotiks ... choose more powerfull product if you intend to run l2tp server with 90mbit/s traffic. You ask too much of the little 751U.

how about you get actual quotes from trainer near you?

Anyway, to attend MTCWE or MTCRE you have to have MTCNA certification be cause you need to know what RotuerOS is and how to work with it.
I was talking in general, not just for MTCWE but also for MTCNA and MTCRE, ...

make sure that you all upgrade the RouterOS to the v6.11 and as well upgrade the RouterBoard firmware to the latest available (at least v3.11 or newer) - that will guarantee that the gigigabit ethernets don't have temp hangs. As with the RB450G before it, this unit is only really useful with metarouter. It having a dual core probably means it doesn't have this feature. Anyone from Mikrotik? Well.. Try reducing output power. For 5m away you don't need 27dB and even if it looks OK on your router it may cause reciever overload on your laptop.... also make sure you are using AES not TKIP for WPA2.

RAM frequency is 400MHz, CPU is 500MHz, it was a mistake in the brochure. We will fix the online version.
Is flash size 128mb also mistake? rb450g had 512mb ... a successor would be expected to have same or better characteristics ... more ram is welcome.

CCR with 72 cores makes no sense to me, unless mikrotik is planing to deploy some kind of IDS/IPS solution (perhaps suricata?)... that would make it a very very very interesting unit.

RB2011UiAS + APC SmartUPS 1500 USB + package usb6.10.pkg After upgrading 6.9-6.10 router reboot in loop. When disconnect USB router works, when connect UPS - rebooting. Works fine for me on RB751G-2HnD with APC SmartUPS 750 connected on USB port .... also no problems with APC SmartUPS 700 connected...

upgraded RB2011UiAS-RM to 6.10 - looking ok with the exception of all L2TP/IPSEC tunnels that won't come up.
There are documented issues with AES256 on v6.10 ... try AES128 instead and see if it works ...

Try for yourself ... make a backup of your router and upgrade it to latest version, you can still downgrade if you find issues that affect your system.
