Re: The Dude, v6.39rc test builds.

What if you execute Dude as administrator from any account ? Maybe it will grant permissions to be updated. It works when it is run as Administrator. But it is not correct behavior. It should prompt for elevation (UAC) before update. I agree! Furthermore, having to run Dude as admin every time, pre...

Re: How to disable fast-path on wireless interfaces?

What you have to look at is fast track and not fast-path. Fast path works at the interface and is always good, as it means that the traffic passing via the interface is more efficiently processed. This is done at the driver level. Fast track, on the other hand, is a "shortcut" in the routing engine,...

Have you tried to disable one of the chains? I have seen difference in the performance of some clients with hAP AC in 2.4 GHz when one chain is disabled. With all three enabled, some clients would not even connect or the connection would be unstable.

I was one among the first to complain about the hAP AC, when it came out. I was waiting for a killer device and instead I saw a not very fast cpu and VERY little flash space. I therefore happily stayed with my beloved 951G, which has been proven a real workhorse. I am just wondering, there is a flas...

Will you please consider fixing the bug where if a wireless interface is set to 2GHz-G/N then all subsequent config changes to this interface done in winbox fail with the message "not supported" and so all config has to be done using the CLI? Changing the interface to any other mode fixes it.
