Re: hAP ac² vs RB2011 WiFi coverage

Im asking the same question? Someone to share exerience ? How is temperatures? From specs. RB2011 have Antenna gain 4, and hAP Ac 2 have antenna gain 2.5. I think still Rb2011 will have higher Wirelss coverage.

You can enable graphing on the WAN interface which will give you the utilization, but again, it depends on what details you want

Re: Save Monthly Traffic on local server

The question is too vague. Do you want to record traffic volume or every single packet? I want just to monitor monthly WAN traffic nothing more. Is there any tutorial how to get that? You could enable SNMP on routerboard, and setup some scripting on your server to insert the reported numbers (for a...

CVE-2018-5951: MikroTik RouterOS Denial of Service Vulnerability

A vulnerability in MikroTik RouterOS allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to force a router to reboot. This is done by sending a packet of the size of 1 byte to RouterOS's IPv6 address using IP proto 97. All versions of RouterOS with EoIPv6 support are likely vulnerable to this attack. This att...

Currently have a pair of hAP ac, looking forward to upgrade to a pair of hAP ac 2 for their faster CPUs. I'm not using poe and SFP, and 3x3 in hAP ac. Re: ARM based new goodies on the horizon

Yeah the antenna in the UAP-AC-Pro is very large. The UAP-AC-Pro design maximises antenna gain, which will improve RX sensitivity, which in my opinion is a better approach than using high TX power which just results in the "lighthouse" effect.. The hAP ac2 and cAP ac look to have Mikrotik's traditi...

As other users say 300mbps is max datarate. TCP/IP traffic will be half of that 150mbps or less in real situation. For speed under 100mbps get some AC enabled device. Your card need to suppprt AC too.

Port 21 ? Why you keep port 21 open ? That is for FTP. To forward to port, first set staric ip for server. Then add NAT rule to dst-nat and insert port 80 there.

Post your current configuration here. Also put different names for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz spectrum, because devices may put in hole until device decide what signal is stronger and move to that network.
