Hi Fabricio, You can do 2 AP's on the same machine without any problems. Issue is that it's not good idea to use omnidirectional antennas but rather sector antennas. You can do 3 AP's and give to each AP different subnet and different SSID! Let's assume that you have one AP with 192.168.1.0/24 and S...

@ IronBalls

Atheros cards cant work with boosters!
As you increase signal strength you also increase noise level!!!
Latency you have is normal.
It has nothing to do with Mikrotik!
Again, 50 clients connected to one AP is pretty much :)

If we are talking about satelitte link, than for sure you need more links to provide enough tcp connections.

Well, I can write my expirience for first two questions. 1. I didn't find ip packing useful for AP's. If you enable packing 1500 you will see that users with bad links will have problems surfing etc. So, my advice is not to use it. 2. We are using dns cache and it's not using a lot of resources. Hello guys, I know this will sound crazy :) But, in wireless crowded areas you would experience frequency(noise/ping etc.) problems very often. Could you implement something like script to be shedulled (example 5:00AM) to test the best frequency by changing channels, testing with flood ping and calc...
