":convert to=hex" doesn't work with number types. I'd expect either a string with "7F" or "007F" back from below..., instead the number arg is treated as string and ASCII codes are used:
put the value in quotes
convert “lala” from=raw to=hex

You can already make a Wireguard connection to your CHR from the home router, and then make a Wireguard VPN from your phone to the same CHR. This way you can achieve the same result without custom "relay".

1) Container feature needs a powerful CPU and plenty of RAM.
2) ARM64 is a natural requirement to resolve these requirements
3) All new products have ARM family chips, so this is our direction going forward
4) It takes a lot of human resources to support other architectures for CPU hungry features.

See if the mikrotik device reports any errors. Maybe you did not insert the SIM correctly. Sometimes putting a layer of scotch tape on the other side of SIM helps it to fit better.

If error is "sim not detected", it means it's not fitted, not blocked.

Re: cAP ax problems

1) all AX devices need "wifiwave2" package, which you probably did not upload, when doing manual upgrade. I suggest using "check for updates" menu to avoid such mistakes in future

2) AX devices also have new CAPsMAN, and CAP in other menu under wireless -> Remote CAP tab.

Something as complex as RouterOS also means that there will be exceptions and hacks needed for any existing framework, so many, that modifying anything takes more time than to make our own

Re: Quick setup “Home AP Dual” question

Quickset does not provide such security differentiation options. The Guest network is just another wireless name with the only difference that you don't have to tell the guests your WiFi password. There are no other security mechanisms in place. For that you have to manually set up other settings.

Re: DoH DNS redirect not working properly on ROS7.9 and Cloudflare for Family

You are using Wrong QuickSet template (LTE only, no wifi), should be Home AP LTE Start with factory defaults, then enable only your DNS redirect. If it works, work from there. Always, if there is something that should work, but is not working, do a full reset. Enable one feature. Check, then continue.

Re: HAP ax^2 accidental drop all wifi connections

It doesn't matter what kind of devices are connected to wifi. It drop ALL devices at the same time. Both 2.4 and 5ghz. It does matter. One device could cause the issue, then router driver crashes and drops everyone. We have seem some issues with a windows laptop waking from sleep, with intel driver...

Re: Install basic opensource firewall as docker container for control my whole LAN

The idea is nice, but like others said, if we are talking about home users - most likely the device they use will not have enough resources to run a firewall container on top of RouterOS. Containers usually take quite a bit of CPU/RAM

You can try to delete the Winbox settings and session folders (for paths, check Tools -> Move Sessions folder and File -> Save As). And see if the issue continues with fresh settings file.

Re: RouterOS 7.1.5. "long-term": dead end?

Yes, at some point MikroTik should stop adding features to a selected version, and then there should be some stabilized point releases after. At least this is how it was before. We might change something in future. Edit: yes, you seem to have noticed that v7 is a bit different, versions come out muc...

It will never reach 24W, when specs give maximum, it means all interfaces going at full speed and CPU at max load. This is not normal use.

Such setup is ok and will work: rb2011 -> poe injector-> cap1 -> cap2
But 12V PSU will not be powerful enough, input range for cAP is 17-57V, so use 24V 1A, or even better 48V PSU.

We did also notice the issue with ambiguous characters and bad font. We will find a solution ASAP.
One option is to switch to all caps letters only, another is to avoid O/0/I/l/1/8/B. In any case, we are workinng on it.

Peter, something must have been wrong with your tests or your device. You can get 750-800Mbit in real life download speed (at least I do, regularly), slightly more in syntetic testing. Max data rate for 2x2 80 is 1200Mbit.

What will change if we rename any random release to long-term? It's only a name. If you think 7.8 is stable enough to be called that, just use it, no matter what it's called

Some more things to try Power supply. If only one LED is lit and nothing else happens, maybe there is not enough power. So let us repeat the basic facts, so that everyone is up to speed: 1. If you know Serial Number or First/Last MAC address, you can get the password from Distributor or MikroTIk (only if Distributor is unknown, so that MikroTik support is not overwhelmed) 2. Password will be on the device itself and ...
