Re: L2MTU and things breaking (mpls)

Hi inssomniak. It sounds like you have a mismatch somewhere. Set the vpls mtu to 1500. Allow CW for vpls. Set the physical interface to the max l2mtu it supports that is also supported by the remote end. Set the mpls mtu per ldp carrying interface and set it the same as the l2mtu for that interface....

When the new routing is released you will be able to do this. It will allow you to add prefixes to an address list with a filter, you can then mark packets based on the address list. So you would add communities to domestic vs international routes then create address lists from these using filters. ...

CRS "Cloud Router Switch" is a new product from Mikrotik that will be out shortly.

It is basically a RB2011 with more ports, the new style white case and HOPEFULLY 802.3af POE :)

I have problems with filters too. Sometimes if I copy a filter it`s doesn`t work. I need to configure a new filter from scratch to work. Yes. This is one of the issues. We also found even on new filters sometimes you need to disable/enable them to get them to work. (Yes even with bgp peer refresh)

My reflectors have >200 sessions configured, identical in all respects except for the peer address. Any simplification of that would be welcome.

This is why we need it too. Route reflectors for L2VPN and L3VPN. It would make it a lot cleaner and easier and reduce human error
