Hi,

MikroTik doesn't have an "easy" button to do this as such however you can do so by creating a dst-nat rule to forward everything from your wan interface to a LAN IP address, I'd recommend making it !8291 TCP though so you can still get to the 'Tik from remote if you want to.

Re: RB3011 how to bind all port together ?

With your current master-slave setup you can put ether1 and ether6 into a bridge. This will mean that ports 1-5 and 6-10 will switch to each other at full wire speed but anything going between the 2 switch banks will go through the CPU. I would say a "better" solution would be to enter all...

You should (note should) be fine downgrading. The bridge will stay in place and the only detriment you may see is that switching if done over the switch chip would not be offloaded and would be done through the CPU (which isn't too bad on the 3011 anyway). If ports have an "S" next to them then this means they are part of a switch configuration. They are probably part of the existing bridge. Have a look in Bridge>Ports and see which belong to it.

You can't do master/slave on a CCR.

You will need to create a bridge and add all the ports to that if you want to switch them. The CCR's don't have a switch chip.

Same goes for the power in, 24v only.

This can be done relatively easily, your problem is that to get to the internet your router is routing through your 4G provider. You're matching anything with a destination of the ports already mentioned which isn't the end of the world, it just means those ports won't do anything else locally. For switching ports 1-5 can switch and 6-10 can but you cannot cross between the chips.
You can master-slave the ports as above then add them to a bridge to get traffic crossing between all ports.

If you needed a switch you'd have been better with a CRS series.

Re: PS4 and MT DNS ...

The question is, what queries it sends that some public resolvers can properly answer and RouterOS can't? It should be the same.
Maybe the MT is cacheing results and PSN doesn't like this? Handing out "old" destination IPs?

We recently had this problem. We were using MT routers at the client end and through DHCP handing out the router as the DNS. Changed the DHCP server to offer out a public DNS (such as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and PSN connectivity returned. The "issue" as we saw it was the MikroTik acting as th...

Is using a VPN to use Plex necessary? I understand basic security you want as little showing to the public network as you can but a media streaming service like Plex needs as much bandwidth as you can throw at it and a VPN must choke that down quite badly.

Re: LED on/off RB951G-2HnD

I think on that you can only configure the user-led as an extra. On the ones I have set up I set it to interface status on the ppp client to give an "internet light" for the lehmans.

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

So far so good (kind of)

We've gone the best part of 2 hours without an error message (although the router isn't working how I want it to) but oddly it has rebooted itself once in this time. I'm going to write that off as a random reboot of no origin and hope it doesn't happen again.

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

Progress for tonight; The bugfix rOS is not available fro the Arm architecture currently so that strikes another line of enquiry off. Have reconfigured as @sruys has and so far so good, 17 mins of no error message. I will leave the config as it is now and not touch anything else to see if this fixes...

Re: Mikrotik RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN wifi performance issues

My RB2011 managed 1Mb upload with no problems over wifi. Your config looks fine to be honest.
Hate to ask but the network is silent when you're doing the tests?

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

I too had the same issue with my RB3011. It seems to be a software related. I reset my config and removed the bridge between the two switches, which resolved the matter. I run a simple network: Ether 1 - PPPoE Ether 2 - LAN Upgraded from a RB2011 which never had the loop with the same config. So th...

Re: LED on/off RB951G-2HnD

You haven't been amazingly clear in what you want to do with the LED's.
Yes you can turn them on or off if you want to.

If you are using winbox or webui try System>LED's to do this.

The above is a very correct CLI response to your query.

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try the patching tonight and see if encounter any problems. I agree, this solution isn't quite that elegant and I'm glad I bought the router with no expectations whatsoever. I just wanted to test the hardware specs, get to know the Mikrotik OS and replace some equipment b...

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

I have mailed this to the support addres of Mikrotik. In the meanwhile, if someone has any further troubleshooting ideas I'd be happy to try them out. I still have the following questions though: Is it possible to replace the bridge interface (which is pure software based) with a UTP cable between ...

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

After an entire night I still got no loop/collisions or duplex mismatch errors. It seemed the problem was with the use of a bridging interface. Is there anyone who could explain this to me ? I thought I understood the use of a bridiging interface in connecting two different switch groups but it see...

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

I thought I'd solved mine but then when you realise the NAT and PPP session go through the CPU those interfaces start flagging errors as well. The best mine managed was 2 hours without error and then I put traffic over the WAN connection and it started again. Hopefully it is a software fault that ca...

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

I've had these messages pop up on CRS switches, only happened on the master port for a switch group when that physical port was being used. It was a false message that MikroTik finally fixed in one of the 6.32 bug fixes for the CRS. What version are you running? Maybe they have a similar problem wi...

Heh - Mikrotik land. Sounds like your troubleshooting has been sound thus far. Hope you don't need to end up doing an RMA on the thing.... Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

I didn't quite follow your meaning on this: I am currently using a hAP lite in place of the RB3011 and so far 7 minutes of error free logs with my network "as it was" when the RB started to have a tantrum. So the "tantrum" happened even when you put the hAP lite back in place, o...

Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

I have been pulling my hair out with this one. So far I'm yet to try the above but I just had a gut feeling it may be the RB3011 itself at fault. I did not have any issues up until a few days ago and no dramatic changes in my network. I have been enabling an disabling ports on the adjoining switches...

Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

Hi Hoping someone can help with this, my RB3011 is showing that there is a loop and there isn't one. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z33/stevescorsa/PC/error_zpsq4dofqdl.jpg To elaborate, Eth1 goes to a CRS125 and it has nothing in the logs suggesting any kind of routing loop Eth2 goes to an RB20...

Re: 6.34 broke my queues

Can you recreate queues?Delete or disable the old ones and then try. There should be no problem with the queue feature. Yep done that and I've just done it again with no success. Oddly it looks as if trying to apply queues directly to the wlan interfaces won't work but if I stick them into a softwa...

Re: 6.34 broke my queues

Had another go at this,

If I specify the software bridge tying the 2 WLAN's together then the limiting works fine but I want them to have differing speeds, when I specify the actual interface wlan2 or wlan3 it doesn't limit.

Interestingly though my RB3011 which I put onto 6.34 is using the below
/queue simple
add max-limit=21M/1152k name=Internet target=pppoe-out1
This queue is working absolutely fine with no problems.

Re: Multiple SSIDs to Multiple Ports

I have a setup similar to this myself,

Ether 1-9 and WLAN1 on bridge1
WLAN2 and 3 on bridge2

Each has it's own DHCP server.

If you want full seperation you need to create firewall rules with source address of 1 IP range and dest. of the other and the reverse.
