If I make a bridge with 2 MT and 2x108mbps cards, 24dBi antennas, LOS, will I get 6-7MB/s? Whats the max. speed with 2x108mbps cards?
Thanks!
Should be able to get that with no problems. I have links that are further then that and they get 13MB+ with WDS one way.
In theory,
if you bond those 2 physical interface, you will get about +40MB,
but in reality, it will drop to 50%,
try to use Nstreme2, maybe you will get better performance
is it 8 MegaByte/second, or 8 megabit / second?
for 8 megabit/second… it’s not hard to reach with Mikrotik.
But for 8 MegaByte/second… you need to be perfect and ideal.
you dont need 24db antennas, and if you only need 8-10 mbit then you can use R52s and RB 133s go with the level 4 OS ones.
this should be a easy link
6MB/s means 48mbps…some might use an online unit converter ![]()
I ask again…is it posible that if I use 2x108mbps cards and 2x24dBi antennas to reach ~48mbps at 1.5km link?
And is nstreme not nstreme2…one card at each bridge.
Thanks.
nstreme-dual, 2x core2duo, 4x wmia123ag = 70-80mbps both way, 5gturbo
if add one more card each side we can get over 100-110mbps
Hi there, how are you “bonding” and powering those wmia123ag’s ?
Best
Jorge
well, I tried this - ns2 and bonding 2x2 to compare
http://wiki.mikrotik.biz/wiki/index.php/Agregacja_łącz_"Bonding"
It is taken from manual
and you should read this
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Super_wireless_test
In one word: with a pipe built with 2-3-4 mt oraz cards each side you can easy add/remove one or two and won’t lost a link, with ns2 it is very risky, beacouse ns2-mac changes each time you put a new card.
