I know i saw info a while back on doing a 2.4ghz wifi repeater between two MT devices via WDS and only one radio on either side.
I have a hotel install and i need to extend the range to one room and need a repeater.
The AP is set ot AP bridge and WDS set to dynamic and a bridge with eth1 wired netowrk, WAN1, WDS 1.
on the repeaater side I took a rb112, put a SR2 in it. and set it to APbridge with the same SSID as the AP above “MAIN” and bridge the wds and wlan INTs. I can connect to the repeater with the client and it works.
is this the rigth way to set set this up and the main question i have is how to i have the repeater broadcast its SSID as “Repeater” and not the re broadcast the same SSID as the AP, “MAIN”. Ive tried setting up virtual AP but then i have the repeater broadcasting 2 SSIDs.
