100% CPU / Only CPU0 visable

Hello,


I am very desperate and would therefore like to turn to the forum, as I am still waiting for feedback from support.

I have installed Mikrotik v7.12 x86 on a HPe server with 2xE5-2690 V3 and 64GB ram.

Now some traffic is running over the CHR and the router is already unusable. 100% CPU usage for the most part, ping dropouts, packet loss etc.

Here is an overview of the disaster:

Now the question, why does mikrotik only show me “CPU0”, the system actually has 2 CPUs and 24 cores. Why does the system reach its limit so quickly? That can’t be right. I only have the following firewall rules:

What am I doing wrong? Am I just stupid?

anyone an idea in this case?

IIRC on the System → Resources dialog, there’s a “Hardware” button. Can you try to click it and make sure the “Multi CPU” checkbox is ticked?

Hey, thanks for your message.
Yes both checkboxes are filled.

I installed the x86 version bare metal with an L6/PU license.
Don’t know if that helps or not.

Short Update:

I now switched from. x86 bare metal installation to CHR via Proxmox on the same machine.

Now everything is working fine.

I think there is a big bug in the x86 version. @Team
