100 megs connection... what board is needed

Right now I have 100 megs coming from the provider…I’m using rb433ah…just found out if I want 3 vlans I need a board where I can change the mtu on the ethernets…which router board should i get… any suggestions?

RB2011 ?

in some posts many people have complains about rb 2011 or rb 951 performance for 100mbit Internet connections

i think rb850gx2 its better suited for that kind of load

that sucks…i already ordered the 951

For a typical home setup with fasttrack enabled it is more than enough. I can do 98mbit/s with 20% cpu usage on my home connection. And my wan interface is 100mbit ethernet so it is capping it with no problem.

P.S. This is with a 951Ui

I do 250Mbps at 50% with RB2011 and fasttrack. 220-240Mbps at 100% without fasttrack.

ok with fast-track will be no problem, but using firewall or queuing the performance will be limited on rb2011or rb951 because of 600mhz single core cpu CPU, the next mikrotik in terms of performance is the rb850gx2

A routerboard ? Seriously is there an RB that does less than 100mbps in this day and age ?

Any RouterBOARD device is capable for this, RB951 included
