I’m not entirely sure who could help with this as i am new to Mikrotik and a big Cisco fanboy but i like the router i bought and it seems pretty awesome except for this current issue.
I have an RB3011 with a 10GB SFP/SFP+ module that is listed in the Webcfg UI and seems to be functioning from the output of the device via web UI as well as the module transmitting (yeah i lke to look at lasers direct in the eye).
So right now i have an LC to SC cable going from my RB3011 to my 4948 10GB fiber modules. It’s a multimode OM3 10GB fiber cable with no kinks that i can see and light is sent on both ends when swapped in the SFP. It seems like the Cisco module isn’t recognizing the mikrotik transmit.
Is what i’m trying to do even doable? I’d love to get this 4948 10GB uplink working but if not i guess i can run a few 1GB uplinks to it but i’d prefer the 10GB to work.
The switch shows interface down and protocol down, the SFP on the RB3011 shows it’s TX and RX info:
Wavelength 850.00 nm
Temperature 36 C
Supply Voltage 3.279 V
Tx Bias Current 6 mA
Tx Power -2.967 dBm
Rx Power -3.708 dBm
So i guess where can i troubleshoot next to try to get this to work?
