11 km link what configuration?

I have just bought a Mikrotik RB 133c with 600MW Card to transmit on 5.8GHz to another Mikrotik RB 532 base station with another 600MW Card on a point to point connection.

The distance is 11KM and the antenna I bought are 30dBi 5.8Ghz Grid antenna for both end.

My friend are saying that the power is too much, that it may affect the radios. Can I return the equipment?

The masts at both end are 110ft high.

Yes too much power. You can turn down the power, or just get some r52’s.

With that much power, depending on the cable you use, you should get a -40 to -42 signal. I have problems with overdrive at -50.

You should have no problem with r52’s that will put you at -55.
