Hi Guys
Which voltage is better to use for powering RB600 and RB433AH? I want to make a battery backup for this so is there any advantage in using 24v because 12v is much easier
Thanks

Hi, for RB433 12V battery is optimal, for Rb600 it is 24V/36V/48V Else mount Rb and battery as close as possible, I mean don’t use POE supplying.
I will definetly use direct power cables and not POE
The mk website shows that the RB600 can use 10..56V so whats the advantage of using 24v as per your recommendation? There will be at least 4 wpci cards so maybee 24v is a better idea for the RB600?
For RB600 at lower input voltage considerably decrease power convertor efficiency that mean if you use RB with high power load , and your load for example R5H,CM11 ,XR5 wireless card with 5V step-up convertor for PA RB not enough power controller duty cycle to even up high current pulses at load side. And result is random Rb reboots depend on air rates and traffic speed.
Thanks aaa
Does the RB433AH running 12v not have the same issue as the RB600?
So I will use 12v for Rb433 and 24v for RB600
thanks
No, it have different power solution.
hello guys
what’s the difference between 12v or 24v on routerboard 911 or 912 or…?
