i have 3 Mikrotik devices with 1 SFP port each.
i would like to daisy chain ( loop ) all of them with Fiber
Is this possible and what modules to use ( SingleMode )
would that be SFPbidi <—> SFPdual_bidi <------> SFPbidi ?
and where to get a Dual Bidi that works for sure with Mikrotik ( if any ).
Hi,
No, it’s not possible. 1 SPF, 1 port.
They don’t make dual “bidi” SFP modules either as far as I know. “bidi” SPFs are paired together, and must be used in a pair.
PS: I think your only real option would be CWDM and splitters, but I’m not sure which (if any) are supported in MT.
ok , alright.
on the other hand,
i did some playing and i do see other devices connected to SFP in Neighbours , when i make a loop with :
from last module rx------SFP2xLC1310tx/rx-----------SFP2xLC1310tx/rx-------SFP2xLC1310tx/rx—to first module tx
but no real traffic possible, which is normal i guess
I found what it looks like an dual (Bidi)

but a lot of money to try if it works with mikrotik. maybe someone can tell his experience.
