Is it possible to use 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz on the same tower, same height without
inteferencies or does the 2.4GHz harmonics disturb the 5.8GHz signal?
Idea is to put an 15dbi 2.4GHz omni with one AP and 12dbi 5.8GHz omni with an other AP
seperated about 1.2m ath same height.
It should be no big trouble if you separate them on a meter or two. I used two omni antennas very close to each other (10-20cm) and everything worked fine, except maybe angles which where closed by other antenna, maybe 10-20 degrees or so. Of course, this worked as this just for a very short time, maybe few hours. But if you split them as you say, I don’t think you will have problems with blind angles (areas of no or bad coverage) and specially not with interference because 2.4 is so far away from 5.8 in frequency manner. Of course, further you split them, you can expect less eventual problems.
I have two of these antennas and they work great. If you are on a tower that charges by the antenna as I am, then these thing are really cool.
One antenna with two N type connecters.
can someone update this? the link above does not work and i cant find anything on the search engines about a dual band antanna with two ports (which i would LOVE to do nstream2 over!)
