2,4Ghz and 5,8Ghz WLAN in one Routerboard

Hi,

I need some support help.

I want to know is it possible to put one 2.4Ghz WLAN and one 5.8Ghz WLAN on one RB433AH routerboard ?

What happen is, the mine install a lot 2,4Ghz wireless LAN’S and a few 5.8Ghz Wireless LAN’s, they want to connect both WLAN in one network.

The RB433AH Routerboard will be a AP(Access Point).

So is it possible ?

Rudi

Yes.

Thanks you>

I think i must put 2,4Ghz on Bridge1 with WDS on Bridge1 and ether1 on Bridge1 with his IP address
then 5,8Ghz on Bridge2 with WDS on Bridge2 and Ether2 on Bridge2 with his IP Address

So
2,4Ghz – WDS ON Bridge1 SSID: 24WLAN
Bridge1 : Port: Bridge1 on WLAN1
Bridge1 on Ether1
IP Address: Bridge1 – 192.168.1.XXX

5,8Ghz – WDS on Bridge2 SSID: 58WLAN
Bridge2 : Port: Bridge2 on WLAN2
Bridge2 on Ether2
IP Address: Bridge2 – 192.168.2.XXX

Is this Setup right ?

Should work just fine.

Do you need the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wlans on the same broadcast network or just routed access?
