I would like to know if someone has a suggestion as to what my problem can be. I have 2 * 2.4Ghz 24dbi grids both using R52 pointing to eachother. The connection goes through one tree but the distance is under 200meters. As you can see in the attached picture , my signal is good and stable aswell as my CCQ , but i keep getting the “Lost connection , not polled for too long” error. Can anybody perhaps help me ?
Try enabling full wireless debug logging first, then if that does not help you isolated the problem, post an export of the wireless settings for both ends here and maybe someone can help you further. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Wireless_Debug_Logs
If i reduce it the signal goes lower , -71’ish . I tried moving the grids , but moving them even cm’s makes the signal go balistic into the -80’s. Could it maybe be the microwave ? lol
This is the correct way to secure a pigtail on a R52. http://forum.mikrotik.com/download/file.php?id=3884
Those pigtails are designed to be plugged in once, only. After three or for attempts, you would have bent the connector and it would be best if you threw it away.
That picture also has a good example of how to waterproof a N Type connector.
Have you checked the antenna cable?
Is there continuity?
Are there any shorts?
Any water leaks?
Have you run snooper to check for interference? I’m currently building an AP a couple of hundred meters from your Triton and am going to great lengths to establish which frequencies that thing transmits and receives on so that we don’t end up crossing frequencies.
I have checked everything and everything is properly connected and secure. I think the problem is from interference ? I tested with my microwave and the signal dropped constantly , how can i block the interference from the microwave ? Any settings i can change in the ROS itself to prevent the link from dropping ?
