this is just not working properly…
I give up on new drivers for 5213 and going back to legacy drivers…
It has some issues with motherboards, pci or timings, I cannot explain it…
I tested on 3 motherboards, exchanged every slot but nothing…
didnt test on routerboards because I dont use them…
I also noticed that this drivers detected 5213 as 5212 in mikrotik-2.8.15 and there it worked ok…
Also, legacy worked ok…
This doesn’t sounds correct – but we can check.

We only use the legacy wireless package, but on various platforms (n-streme is not for a production environment yet !!!).
On all routers, the 5211 disconnected momentarily up to 10 times per day. After upgrading to 2.8.17, this issue has disappeared. Many users are happy now !

Here is my experience with 2.8.17
- b/g mode finally works. Thanks!

- 5GHz/turbo does not work anymore (no frequences to choose from).
- 2.4GHz-only-G/turbo does not work anymore (no clients can connect).
- There is only 2.4GHz channels to choose from now.
I have only tried with Atheros AR5212 cards yet.
Hi, just my $0.01’s
I upgraded from .16 to .17 on 3 different motherboard types, Via and Intel CPUs.
5211 and 5212 radios from MT work fine in “5GHz turbo” mode.
Have not tried other radio modes.
Throughput is solid and no problems seen yet.
Have not got any 5213 radios to try yet.

Stephen
After I imported the license, 2.4GHz-only-G works, but not in turbo mode. Turbo mode works with 2.9beta4 using my Atheros AR5212 card, and also 5GHz. Do I need to buy wireless cards from Mikrotik to get everything to work?
I did a test, I installed a linux distribution on my router box and downloaded the latest MadWifi drivers from the cvs. I compiled and installed the drivers, and run some commands ie. iwconfig, iwpriv and brctl. I got my wireless card to work as an AP in b/g mode and turbo at the same time.
Which card works in AP bridge and turbo mode with 2.8.17?
Okey, I have to admit that Turbo mode works with Atheros AR5212 and AR5213 in Mikrotik 2.8.17
Only one channel works in Turbo mode with my wireless cards, it’s 2.437GHz
In the 2.9beta, this is the only frequence in the list.
