2.9.2 hotspot setup

What is the setup for hotspot via winbox?

I am trying to setup a new ap I can’t figure out all the settings in 2.9.2

Also I have questions:

  1. Under Hotspot, Servers, profiles - then under Radius what is “nas port type”?

I started out by having a working ap running 2.8.27 and upgraded it to 2.9.2 and once I did that I couldn’t log in on the hotspot but could on pppoe.

So I reset the unit and started over and still cant get hotspot to work.

Easyest way to setup a hotspot is to press the “Setup” buton in winbox under IP/hotspot.

This will launch a wizard that wil ask you questions and build a basic setup as you go.

The manual will explain each question as you hit it.
(look up th 2.9 manual / documentation on the MikroTik web site)

Once complete you can then tweek the settings as you see fit, but it will give wou a basic knowlage of the workings of the hotspot system.
(after completing the wizard, look around a bit, several firewall rules Ect. are added to handle the hotspot traffic.)

thats how I set it up, just like I used to do in under the older versions.
