2.9.43 ospf messages referencing non-existent interfaces

In 2.9.43 ospf routing-test, we’re seeing messages which aren’t found on Google or on this board (please pardon me if I’m wrong) referencing non-existent interfaces such as eth0, eth1 when the actual interfaces are ether1-ether3. The strings eth0 and eth1 aren’t found in an export either.

Can anyone offer a clue as to what the following means?

We’re desparately in need of restoring service after a flood and can’t seem to find the magic.

14:46:40 ospf, debug received packet from 209.151.120.102 on unconfigured
interface [eth1]

Hi,

we’ve seen that the numbering of interfaces in debug messages is not the same as
shown by ssh or winbox. eth0=ether1, eth1=ether2, …

The message says that your router receives an OSPF message on an interface
you’ve not configured for OSPF in your OSPF config. This might be ok if you’ve working
with 2 independent OSPF areas.
