Anyone any idea how one can set a station to stop transmitting it’s normal dialog with an access point until subsequently told to continue by the access point.
This condition required for EMC testing.
Urgent response needed.
Thanks
Mike

You mean powersaving? No-can-do on routeros i think.
No, it’s not power saving.
Part of the EMC test criteria is that the station be put into listen-only mode by the AP, then tested to see if it can be forced (in error) to transmit by applying external RF stimulation.
I suspect you are right about the routerOS. I could not find anything in Winbox.
I have sent the question to the MikroTik support team, so will see what they have to say.
Thanks
Mike
Found a bit more about what it’s about, quoting from EN 301-893
Slave devices:
a) A slave device shall not transmit before receiving an appropriate enabling signal from a master device.
b) A slave device shall stop all its transmissions whenever instructed by a master device to which it is associated.
The device shall not resume any transmissions until it has again received an appropriate enabling signal from a
master device.
c) A slave device which is required to perform radar detection (see table D.3), shall stop its own transmissions if
it has detected a radar.
