please test the new RC1 version and report every problem to support, also we would like to hear your thoughts about the web configuration
I am all over it…
I am downloading now and will have users beat on it today..
Craig
I want to edit the hotspot pages but for some time now the files dont show anyplace .. ![]()
I have a routerboard 500 on order for use in a hotspot aplication (sort of…)
and I will need to edit the hotspot login page…
So far everything else looks ok..
Craig..
Change the directory of the hotspot to another one, which doesn’t exist, and when you click apply it will create it… you can then download the files and modify them. The default hotspot directory seems hidden so you have to tell it to make a copy.

Moron alert… (Me…) ![]()
I dont see how ??? ![]()
I dont see the process via winbox or terminal…
Craig
IP → Hotspot
Then choose ‘Servers’ tab, click the ‘Profiles’ button, and seutp a new profile with a different HTML directory. Once you specify a new directory it will copy all files there and then you can modify.

Well it seems to work fine, I’m testing on an AP at home, not a P2P link in Turbo mode.
Will try that later this week -
Question: where do I find the web interface?
I know it was posted before, but I couldn’t find it, despite a good search …

Router’s IP via HTTP.
… just had a chat with Edgars about that.
We’re an OEM so have a ‘dpk’ on the router that doesn’t have a link to webbox - only winbox and telnet.
Is there a ‘workaround’ - i.e. a page name other than ‘index.htm’ to go to?
Regards
http://<router’s address>/cfg/login
after I upgrade to 2.9rc1 I lose all data what was in firewall mange Different Treatment for Overseas Traffic
When I try to import back this mange router answer me that
Script file loaded and executed successfully
already have such address
where he put all thes addresses?
Fantastic, Eugine - that’s just what I needed.
Keep up the good work on RouterOS …
The bandwith test report 0 Kbps for UDP but good in TCP (more of 2.8 Mbps).
In the seven voip call, the link have troughput problems.
Each call is of 24Kbps.
Many problems with BGP and RIP ![]()
Everything else seems OK. Exept connection tracking over 100+ Mbit/s (mostly p2p traffic).
Nothing here for know…
TIme will tell ![]()
Cheers…
If filter table used (at least one rule active in any filter chain), but connection tracking is off, ANY fragmented IP packets on input or forward directions are lost with send back ICMP message “time for packet reassembly exceeded”. (Simplyest test - ping RC1 box from workstation with packet size>1472). When connection tracking is on, or filter table unused, all fragmented IP packets accepted or forwarded correctly. On stable version 2.8 fragmented packets supported correctly without correllation with connection tracker.
If this is not bug, but real specific of firewall, ithis trick must be documented in details.
I have problems with connection tracking on the RC1
if I try to set enabled=no the rb500 stops working
I can still write commands but they time out
I power cycle the rb500 and works fine, but still with con track to yes
try RC3 maybe ?
