Will the final revision of 3.0 be upgradeable from 2.9.xx, or will it require a netinstall to upgrade?
I know I’ve tried upgrading to 3.0 in the past from 2.9 and resulted in 100% CPU usage and an unusable OS. Netinstall was the only way to successfully install 3.0.
Will this be the requirement when moving to v3.0 or will 2.9 be upgradeable via FTP and a restart?
You were unlucky last time - I upgraded all my 2.9 to 3.0 RC4 to RC11 - there was problem only with one version in between (don’t remember the number) . Sorry have no information about last rc13 - now i have only 3.0 to 3.0 upgrade
i have 2.9.50 and i upgraded to 2.0.RC13 and it works fine (verified on over 10 rb)
I was able to upgrade from 2.9.50 to 3.0rc13, too ( Routerboards and x86 ).
ok .. I haven’t tried since some of the first RC’s.. so I’m glad to here its fixed.. I’ll give it a shot to confirm.
