2.9rc7 Console "Safe Mode" (and configured rates)

This evening I accessed the station end (running rc7) of a wireless bridge using telnet. I set “Safe Mode” with control-x. I then entered:

interface wireless set wlan1 rate-set=configured supported-rates-a/g=6Mbps,9Mbps,12Mbps,18Mbps

I did this because connect was 54/36mbps but jitter was high.

When I entered the command, I lost the link. Even after 9 minutes it did not come back again. So I think Safe Mode is not working.

yes, I’ve met many situations when safe mode didn’t help. I’m not using it anymore - I always create script which is reversing changed settings and schedule it to run two minutes in advance.

Idem situation for the SR5… I’ve lock datarates at 6Mbit,9Mbit,12Mbit because jitter over 18 cause disconnection and continuos negotiation exchange..
I think CM9 is already the best..
