Hi,
Recently I tried to bond two lines but its not working. We have two ADSL leased telephone lines (2 routers) 4MB of each connection. When I checked the download speed it still giving us around 4MB of download speed!
Device: hAP RB951Ui-2nD. RouterOS: 6.36
Scenario of load balancing and bonding
ADSL Router1 4MB (192.168.1.1) -------> Port1(WAN1)
ADSL Router2 4MB (192.168.2.1) -------> Port2(WAN2)
LAN (output should be 8MB) --------------> Users(Local)
I’m afraid that the only issue is the testing method. The load distribution works per connection (and must work that way whenever NAT is involved in the topology), so any single connection only uses one of the WANs. If you test using speedtest.net, their web application opens four connections (tcp sessions) in parallel to measure download speed and another four to measure upload speed, so chances are high that at least one of the four will use another WAN than the remaining ones and the aggregate throughput will thus be the sum of both WAN’s bandwidths.
