Hi, I have a LHGG LTE18 serving my small office pretty well. There is still a signal drop occasionally (probably provider’s end) and that is a problem if we’re doing something critical like video streaming. I’m thinking of getting another LHGG LTE18, subscribing to an alternate service provider, then load balancing the 2 connections on my RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN (i assume that’s possible). I don’t have many locations to mount the antenna, so would it be a bad idea to mount it on the same pole near the old unit? Will there be some kind of interference? Your kind expertise is greatly appreciated, thank you.
TL;DR: will 2 high gain antennas in close proximity result in poorer signal? they are subscribed to different service providers and use difference ethernet cables.
In mobile networks having two antennas close to each other is usually not a big problem. The exception is if MNO uses TDD band (and even this is not allways a problem). The same is true even if the two antennas connect to different MNOs … unless these two use frequency bands which are somehow “interlaced” and as such don’t offer the necessary “duplex gap”. Check list of LTE frequency bands to get an idea about what to avoid.
Never the less, you shoukd still mount antennas do that they don’t get into each other’s “line of sight”, try to mount them at least 0.5m (2ft) apart.
