This is hard, probably not currenlty possible. Whats the uplink of the 4mbit downlink ? 0? how come ?
give more details …
Maybe its a 1 way only (downlink) satellite dish.
downlink is 4Mbps via ISP 1
uplink is 512kbps via ISP 2
both are via satellite
ISP 1 only provides downlink but ISP 2 provides downlink and uplink too but we are using their uplink only
the downlink type is through proxy ? or full route? or vpn?
for three cases I have solutions but please tell me whati s the type of connection you hgave
regards,
Hi maroon
Could you sent the solution copy to me?
Two type of them
Do you mark the packet ? or just mark the port to differentiate the uplink packet and download packet?
downlink type is as a normal router. static routes.
could you let me know how to do that if you have the solution

i am a new bee
Do u use vpn connection for downlink?
no just a static ip
ask your ISP to full router ur IP, give them the IP Addresses of the Satelite…
Regars
maroon i didnot understand what you said
Maybe settings on your ISPs must be made for correct routing the packets through your both connections. Sounds good to me if they’re nice enough to do it for you.
Let’s say you have a router that is connect to your ISP1 link and ISP2 link. Your router must have Inrenet IP address and routes must be set on it as well on ISP1 and ISP2 routers that are connected to yours. These routes would determine that packets destined to your network (coming to your router) will be sent via ISP1 but packets from your network (coming out of your router to the Internet) must be sent through ISP2 link. Will this work considering ISP1 link is one-way - download only. Should work, knowing that satellite links have always worked in sucha manner but instead of an ISP2 link we used to use a dial-up modem… ![]()
Still a bit of a mistery how this will work ![]()
This might be a little late, but here’s a solution:
