2011 with iphone 5

Hello,

I just replaced a linksys router with mikrotik 2011, which has lots of features, but the problem is that when i go little far in my room the wireless receive signal is nearly full but my phone does not connect, i have changed from 20/40Mhz to 20 Mhz, but its still same, any help on fine tuning the AP in Mikrotik ?

Thanks a lot.

I had a similar problem. My Android worked fine but my wife’s iPhone either wouldn’t connect or was slow as can be. I actually have given up for the time being and switched back to using my airport for wireless.

yes, android works fine, with same range and not iphone5, before i had linksys and it was bad coverage but worked, but with mikrotik its just not working.
anybody not found any tweak yet ?

look to country settings by wireless settings advanced

On version 5.x I had no issues with this. When I upgraded to version 6.1 my wife’s iPad have connection issues. All none apple products works fine. Using 493G

Dies that actually do anything? I thought it just limited the channels?

says no country, what country shall i put ? if i select the country would it just reduce the power so that i would not get the signal in rooms ?

Set the country where you are

Instead of everyone guessing and throwing out random things. It would be better to see your config.

Post /export compact and then we can give suggestions based off of that.

Here we are :

/interface bridge
add admin-mac=D4:CA:6D:99:20:80 auto-mac=no l2mtu=2290 name=bridge-local
protocol-mode=rstp
/interface ethernet
set 0 disabled=yes name=sfp1-gateway
set 1 name=ether1-gateway
set 6 name=ether6-master-local
set 7 master-port=ether6-master-local name=ether7-slave-local
set 8 master-port=ether6-master-local name=ether8-slave-local
set 9 master-port=ether6-master-local name=ether9-slave-local
set 10 master-port=ether6-master-local name=ether10-slave-local
/interface wireless security-profiles
set [ find default=yes ] supplicant-identity=MikroTik
add authentication-types=wpa-psk,wpa2-psk eap-methods=passthrough
management-protection=allowed mode=dynamic-keys name=profile1
supplicant-identity=“” wpa-pre-shared-key=keylife22 wpa2-pre-shared-key=
keylife22
/interface wireless
set 0 band=2ghz-b/g/n disabled=no distance=indoors frequency=2462
ht-rxchains=0,1 ht-txchains=0,1 l2mtu=2290 mode=ap-bridge
security-profile=profile1 ssid=Wifi wireless-protocol=any

try setting the protocol to 802.11

set the security profile to wpa2 psk, aes ccm with tkip turned off

how do i set to 802.11 ?
i have kept security profile to wpa2.psk, ccm.

problem is still same i see full signal bars in room but cannot surf, its like receiver sensitivity of the radio is bad.

You set wireless-protocol=802.11. If using winbox you will need to click “advanced” on the right side of the wireless interface box.

Is that your whole config? Did you leave anything out?

same story, very good receive signal but poor transmit from iphone.
