20Mbit/sec Rx, 115Kbit/sec Tx --- is this possible?

Hi,

iam running a 5Ghz-10Mhz link in AP bridge. The link is connected over a 500m distance using Mktk 3.20 and two 19Db patch panel antennas. TX power is set at 10.
Iget 100CCQ overall quality and 100/89 CCQ for RX/Tx. Nstream is running also over that link.
Iam running vertical polarization (haven’t tried horizontal yet). There is a building that might be half blocking the Fresnel zone, but the radius of the signal from the antenna i think is just enough to be free of the obstacle.

When i do bandwidth test i get 20Mbit/sec Rx and 115Kbit Tx. (UDP test)
I get the same results if a change the frequencies used.

Having the above information, can you think of any reason of why i get the Tx link speed that low?

Regards

Upgrade to the latest OS.
Then from terminal window,
/sys router upgrade
this will upgrade the RB firmware.
Reboot and try again.

did you read the post first?

Actually iam not running on RB but on Alix, but even though what upgrading the bios has to do with Tx/Rx speed ?

Actually Inox,

I have seen this precise symptom on one link until I did what I suggested.
Unfortunately the first post did not indicate that it was not a routerboard.

Problem solved.

I downgraded to 3.17 and all is back in a working condition.

Thanks everyone for the help.

By testing further wih 3.20 i had a strange behaviour even on the same lan.
on a cisco L3 network i couldn’t even ping the ip address of MKTK after 24 hours.
