260GSP "current too low"

Anyone ever experience this? Was it resolved?

I have two 260GSPs plugged into a CRS. Both of the 260GSPs are powered using the power supply that they come with directly plugged in. The 1st GSP is powering 3 x BaseBox 2. And it is working fine. The 260GSP is powering 2 x wAP ac and a BaseBox 2. On two of the ports (Port 3 wAP and Port 4 BaseBox) when set to auto I get “current too low” and the devices just continuously cycle. If I set them to “on” they seem to turn on but it only reads 30 to 40mA… much less than the 100 to 200 the other wAPs and BaseBoxes use.

Thoughts?

you need a stronger power supply. It’s telling you that the current going into the switch is not enough to power the switch and the devices connected to it.

It shouldn’t be though. This is using the 24V 2.5A power supply it comes with?.. It should be able to power the three devices each using 200mA a piece without a problem.

Other ideas?

You have 2500mA to work with.

the wAP AC max is 500mA
the base box 2 is 416mA
the 260GSP is 250mA

That brings you to 1666mA or 1.6A.

So yes, you should be just fine - assuming that the power supply isn’t failing.
Have you tried switching the power supplies?

others thoughts would be that the switch is failing.

Have you verified the power supply? Use it for the working switch and see if it works ok. Just to rule out a defective power supply.
Next step would be to connect the ones not working into a port of the working switch.
If everything turns out ok, you have a defective cabling…

I contacted the distributor… either the power supply or switch. they are sending a new one.
